Introducing the Business Scenario and the Stakeholders

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to list the main stakeholders for this course and explain their roles

The Business Scenario Used in This Learning

GloManCorp is a global manufacturing company that wants to streamline its procurement processes. They have decided to implement SAP's Source-to-Pay process with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, both to streamline the procurement and to simplify the integration with suppliers. GloManCorp has chosen Trust Partner Consulting as the implementation partner and trusted advisor throughout the implementation project to ensure a successful deployment.

Adam Admin acts as an IT administrator for GloManCorp and is responsible for the technical configuration of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system. This includes setting up communication arrangements, the printing environment, and the monitoring environment for both business processes and jobs. One of his additional essential tasks is to perform transports from the development stage to the production stage.

From a previous job, Adam has gained basic experience with the administration of on-premise SAP systems such as SAP ECC. However, since Adam is new to SAP Cloud technology, he seeks advice from Carl Consultant, an IT consultant from Trust Partner Consulting.

In this learning journey, we accompany Adam in his journey to set up the environment for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Note

Please note that this learning journey focuses on the administrative aspects of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. The procurement processes that GloManCorp wants to streamline are not discussed in detail itself.

Additional Stakeholders and Their Roles

Since GloManCorp wants to streamline its procurement processes with the help of its implementation partner, Trust Partner Consulting, two teams need to work collaboratively: the customer implementation team and the partner implementation team.

The following figure shows the main stakeholders from GloManCorp and Trust Partner Consulting that appear in this learning journey:

Besides Adam, the following stakeholders will appear in this Learning Journey:
