Be Visual! Sketching Basics for IT Business

Why is it helpful to plan your layout if you want to prepare a flipchart or a whiteboard for a meeting? 

For texts remember the 1:2:1 proportion.


Write only in capital letters for better readability.

Use green markers when you plan to take a photo afterwards.

If you are thinking about developing in a team and sketching your ideas, what can you do to make the session easier to follow?  

Think of a grid to organize the screen elements.

Use templates in the original size of the devices.

Think of different interaction paradigms e.g. mouse/touch

How do you design for different screen sizes using responsive design?


Write the text first and then sketch the container around it.

Connect the containers with arrows after sketching the containers.

Use the chisel-tip marker only for the arrows that combine the containers.
