Instructions for Optional Hands-on Exercises in Week 2

Welcome to the optional hands-on exercises for this week.

Note: The exercises focus on setting up trial / free tier accounts in both the platform, however if you have access to enterprise account for SAP BTP and Amazon Web Services and wish to use the same for the exercises, you can use the same.

In this week, you will be learning to develop application using SAP Build Apps and SAP Build Process Automation. In AWS, you will learn to setup Amazon S3 and Amazon API Gateway. You will create a business partner onboarding application using SAP Build Apps and integrate with Amazon S3 to store the business partner related documentation.

Please Note: There are changes in the user interface in SAP BTP and AWS services from the time the course was recorded. All these changes will be updated constantly in GitHub repository.

In Week 2 Unit 2 – Keep the core clean by extending SAP S/4HANA and SAP Build Apps, you will learn how to subscribe and develop a simple application using SAP Build Apps.

In Week 2 Unit 3 – Connect SAP Build Apps with AWS Services, you will learn how to create an API in Amazon API Gateway to store and retrieve documents from Amazon S3 bucket.

In Week 2 Unit 4 – Subscribe to SAP Build Process Automation, you will learn how to create an approval process using SAP Build Process Automation. You will see how to integrate with the Build App that you created in the previous unit.

In Week 2 Unit 5 – Integrate business processes with AWS Services, you will learn how to setup AWS SNS Service and integrate with SAP Build Process Automation.
