Provisioning Your Environment for SAP Commerce Cloud

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to complete the provisioning, login, and initial credential setup required for a successful project.

Access to SAP Commerce Cloud

Following these steps will allow your environment to be provisioned on time:

This image showcases how the provisioning information is displayed within the SAP for ME platform

Step 1 - Performing the initial login, following the instructions provided in the provisioning e-mail, within 30 days of receipt, will trigger the provisioning of your system.

Step 2 - Once you have logged on for the first time using SAP for Me (me.sap.com), as a super administrator you can create additional S-users by following these instructions.

Step 3 - Create access for an S-user in the SAP Commerce Cloud Portal by following these instructions.

Step 4 - By default, you are entitled to two tenants (1 Small Sandbox and 1 Production). The first tenant (1 Small Sandbox) is provisioned by SAP. Discuss with your implementation partner when to provision the other tenant(s). You can find all the instructions on how to provision tenants here: Using SAP for Me to Provision Environments | SAP Help Portal. The total number of tenants depends on your contract. For further information about all different SAP Commerce editions, please check here: Commerce Entitlement Guide.pdf.

Tenants

Within the first three days after the contract start date, the IT contact specified in the contract will receive a provisioning e-mail sent by no.reply.provisioning@sap.com, sapcloudsupport@alerts.ondemand.com, or scc@sap.com.

For new customers, SAP creates the first S-user ID and assigns it the highest level of authorization (Cloud Super Administrator). After this initial stage, for security reasons, SAP is not authorized to create or administer additional S-users for customers. Please make sure to check your spam folder for the provisioning e-mails.

Conclusion

You have 30 days from the contract start date to access your first tenant.

Following the steps listed in this lesson will allow you to easily manage tenant provisioning of your SAP Commerce Cloud instance.
