With the app Manage Cost Center Budgets you can transfer cost center budgets between cost centers, carry out a budget supplement and a budget return.

The preceding figure gives an example for a Budget Supplement.

Note

The same account number that was loaded when the budget was imported must be used to transfer the budget.

Prerequisite:

  • Budgets can only be transferred between cost centers if the cost centers are assigned to the same company code.
  • You can only transfer budgets from one cost center to another cost center if cost center data is available.

The following budget transfer options exist:

  • From one cost center to another cost center
  • From one cost center to several cost centers
  • From several cost centers to one cost center
  • From several cost centers to several cost centers.

Before budgets can be transferred, returned or supplemented, cost center data must be available.

To create cost center data:

  • Create a cost center with the Manage Cost Centers app.
  • If you create a cost center budget with Import Financial Plan Data.

The budget availability control can be used to ensure that cost center budgets are not exceeded when budget transfers are made.

If the budget availability control is activated, no budget amount that is higher than the available budget can be transferred.
