Welcome to the HR demo video for SAP Business Technology Platform. In this video, we'll demonstrate how SAP Business Technology Platform can streamline the new hire onboarding process, eliminate potential human data errors, provide faster time to value for new employees, provide a better employee onboarding experience. Too many organizations rely on outdated, manual and repetitive processes to run their onboarding activities. This results in new employees, their managers, and even HR business partners becoming frustrated. Today, we're going to show you how we solve these problems and make sure that the new employee's experience is great even before they start, while also streamlining, onboarding, and making it more efficient for everyone involved. Before we begin with the demo, we'd like to show you how we achieved our results. The SAP Signavio Process Intelligence SOUP. numerous ways to streamline and make the onboarding more efficient by eliminating or simplifying manual activities. Once we identified the activities, we then automated them with the SAP Build Process Automation Solution and SAP integration suite, which help create automations quickly and easily with no programming knowledge. As HR teams know, onboarding can involve many different activities and tasks before, during, and after the employee start. This demo will focus on some example activities before the employee even starts. But in many organizations, simply getting equipment ordered is a very time-consuming task. And making sure that equipment is provided to the employee before they start can be problematic as well. If your new hire is working remotely or is not office-based, their equipment has to be ready and available on their first day. Otherwise, they're starting off with a negative experience, and are also prevented from actually doing their job. Now, let's jump into our demo. Our equipment ordering process starts with the SAP Success Factor's WorkZone solution, our employee entry point. Then you go to the SAP Success Factor's Employee Central Solution, which is the System of Record. For the purpose of this demo, you'll be entering a new employee into the system so that we can trigger additional automations that happen every time a new hire has been uploaded, into SAP Success Factors Employee Central. You're going to add a new employee, Jane Smith, into the system manually to trigger the rest of the demo. Now that the new employee is in SAP Success Factor's Employee Central, you've received a notification in our SAP Success Factor's Workzone Workflow inbox. Let's go see what the notification is. Here's the notification in the Workflow inbox. You can see a notification that an equipment purchase requisition has been submitted for Jane Smith. This inbox notification was triggered immediately after the employee record was created. So, the hiring manager is automatically notified, making the process much faster than had someone in HR had to notify them by email or phone. In this example, the specific equipment being ordered is based on the company's standards for this role. In your company, you can customize any part of this. Instead of being by role, you can make it regional. nested by department, then roll, whatever you need to meet your business needs. And since the ordering was done through the SAP Ariba Buying solution, your team will be able to monitor the status of the order in real time and follow up with the vendors if needed. This is done using the guided buying capability. In the list, you just need to select the automatically generated requisition for Jane's equipment. And you can see that the equipment requisition is ready to be approved. Your procurement department can also set automatic approval thresholds so this approval step can also be eliminated. And once approved, SAP Ariba Buying sends the requisition to the vendor, allowing it to be delivered directly to the remote employee before they start. In the list, you just need to select the automatically generated requisition for Jane's equipment. But that's not the end. Most new employees need access to different systems in the company, Sales representatives would typically need access to your CRM system, and these kinds of requests can be automated as well. Within the SAP Service Cloud solution, you can see an automatically generated service ticket is in the queue for system access for Jane Smith, also automatically created with no human interaction and with no delay. Here in the service ticket, you can see the request to give access to the new employee for some critical systems. SAP analytics cloud solution and the SAP Datasphere solution. As soon as the employee record appears in SAP Success Factor's Employee Central, all the wheels of automation go into motion to make sure Jane has everything she needs to start her career at your company.
