Welcome to today's session on Deploying WalkMe. This module of Deploying WalkMe focuses on helping you understand its enterprise-grade design. We cover data collection options for WalkMe Insights, privacy, and security, highlighting how we ensure the customer stays in complete control. First, we'll explore the options available for end user privacy. WalkMe empowers our customers to customize privacy settings, comply with global regulations, and build trust with their users next we'll focus on integrating walk me with identity providers IDPs walk me ensures seamless and secure access enhancing user authentication while improving overall efficiency for our customers then we'll cover the robust security measures WalkMe offers. Let's get started! First up, we will explore the key technical requirements for successfully implementing the WalkMe platform, including essential components, configurations, integrations, and customizations to enhance functionality and user experience. A UUID, or Unique User Identifier, is a special value assigned to each user in a system. It plays a crucial role in delivering precise and actionable insights about users and their actions. By using a UUID, systems can collect accurate information on user interactions, which is essential for understanding behavior and measuring system performance. It also allows for reliable tracking, helping systems closely follow user tasks and progress. This ensures that every activity is recorded with precision, providing consistency in data. Additionally, a UUID enables better personalization. With this unique identifier, content can be segmented to individual users, and groups can be organized based on specific data, resulting in a more customized and meaningful experience. Overall, the UUID is a powerful tool that supports better management and understanding of user data, ultimately enhancing decision -making and user satisfaction. UUID hashing is a process where a unique user identifier, or UUID, is transformed into a hashed value using a cryptographic algorithm like SHA-256. This approach adds an important layer of security and privacy by ensuring the original identifier is never stored or transmitted in its raw form. By hashing the UUID, the original identifier is protected, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive user information. It also anonymizes user data since the hashed value cannot reveal the original identifier, helping to safeguard user privacy. Beyond that, hashing guarantees data integrity during transmission. If the data were altered in any way, it would result in a completely different hash value, making any tampering immediately evident. This process also supports compliance with data protection regulations by minimizing the storage of personally identifiable information. On top of all this, the hashing is performed directly on the client side, ensuring that the original identifier remains on the user's device. This further strengthens privacy by keeping sensitive data from being transmitted elsewhere. In essence, UUID hashing delivers a powerful combination of security, privacy, and regulatory compliance, ensuring user data is managed safely and responsibly. IDP integration involves connecting WalkMe with an identity provider, IDP, to manage digital identities and authenticate users. It is important because it provides a secure and reliable way to validate user identities across systems, enhancing segmentation capabilities. Content segmentation allows for more personalized and segmented user experiences by using IDP parameters like region or department. As IDP provides consistent user identification across systems, data accuracy for monitoring and analytics is also improved. Now, let's explore how WalkMe integrates security as a core design principle in all its applications. WalkMe applies a robust approach to maintain security controls and data protection of services and product. First up, confidentiality. WalkMe protects information from being accessed by unauthorized parties, meaning only people who are authorized to access data will be able to do so. We utilize the best-of-breed encryption, authentication, and access control to protect our product and customers. Then integrity. Data integrity is the maintenance of and the assurance of data accuracy and consistency over its entire life cycle. At WalkMe we verify all information remains intact and ensure it is kept in its original form. Now, availability and performance. Ensuring fast delivery and accessible content to the end user seamlessly at any time anywhere on the globe. By working with WalkMe the end user can be assured that their content at any scale and capacity is resilient to all changes that may occur. For example in case the data server goes down. WalkMe backups the customer information without having it interfere with business continuity. Compliance. WalkMe maintains extensive compliance standards aligned with industry best practices regulation, federal and or state rulings, international and/or regional laws, and industry specific requirements. And finally, privacy. WalkMe adheres to the most extensive data privacy standards set by global regulations, including GDPR and CCPA. Our compliance program is unmatched in the industry and spans across all areas, covering security, privacy, quality, and accessibility. We take every measure to ensure that this data is kept private, safe, and confidential. All information is strictly protected and segregated in a way that ensures only authorized entities can have access to it. Data in our analytics is anonymous by default, however you can use your own UUID to identify users, as well as create specific events to be monitored with WalkMe Analytics. Additionally, you may utilize special features which require collecting and storing additional personal data, such as user behavior tracking, screenshot settings, custom variables, custom user identifier, etc. There are three levels of data collection available. We have WalkMe Engagement Analytics. This is the default level where only WalkMe events are sent to the WalkMe servers. It collects data on end-users' engagement with WalkMe items. Then there is Digital Experience Analytics . This level collects all the data that WalkMe engagement analytics collects, plus additional data such as clicks, input changes, and form submissions on your website. Finally, Session Playback.
