If you did not already create the Sales Analytic Model with dimension associations, additional measures and filter variables, you can use the predefined Sales Analytic Model template.

The template helps you to preview the analytic model and to proceed with the SAP Analytics Cloud Visualization unit. The Sales Analytic Model serves as the source of the live connection between SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

Since an Analytic Model can’t be shared to another SAP Datasphere space, a JSON file with the Sales Analytic Model specification is provided. This must be imported and deployed to your user space .

Upload JSON File

1. Download the 4OV_SALES_ANALYTIC_MODEL.JSON file and save it locally.

2. In the side navigation area, select Data Builder, and choose your space if necessary.

3. Select Import -> Import Objects from CSN/JSON File in the top toolbar.

   

4. Select the 4OV_SALES_ANALYTIC_MODEL.JSON file, which you have downloaded.

5. Select 4OV_Sales Analytic Model in the Select Objects to Import popup, and select Import CSN File.

   

6. A message appears about the progress and successful import. Afterwards 4OV_Sales Analytic Model is listed with status ‘Not Deployed’ in the object overview.

Deploy and Open Analytic Model

7. Select 4OV_Sales Analytic Model, then select the Deploy icon.

   

8. A message appears about the progress and successful deployment.

9. [Optional] Open 4OV_Sales Analytic Model, and view the model.

   

10. [Optional] Select Preview to view the data.

    You can navigate through the various dimensions, and view the aggregated data. You can see what the data will look like in an SAP Analytics Cloud story.

    

11. [Optional] Close the Analytic Model editor and return to the Data Builder entry point.

    

Congratulations! You have successfully imported the Sales Analytic Model template as alternative to the model creation.
