Build Visualization on Predictive Data (Invoice Overview)

In this lesson, you will be using the predictive model to extend already created report with variety of Visualizations to analyze and compare original data to predictive data. We will extend first page “Invoice Overview” as part 1 of Post Predictive Visualization lesson.

Visualization 1 - Comparison Bars, Incoming by Days

1. Go to Main Menu >> Files >> Analytics Cloud and “Finance_WorkShop_Landing_Page_{userid}” and select your copy you have created earlier.

2. Search for the story when you cannot find it.

3. Go to Edit on top right Corner and select Chart from Insert tab.

4. Go to Builder and click on Change Primary Model in Data Source >> From the search bar go select Select other model….

5. Search for CASHFLOW_AR_OPEN_DATA_W_PREDICTION and select the COVID_CASHFLOW_AR_OPEN_DATA_W_PREDICTION model.

Note : we will use pre build model instead of the model you built in the previous lessons as there are many enhancements to the Predictive data set to do comparison with actual data model.

6. Change Chart Orientation to Vertical. Go to measures and select “AMOUNT” and select + Create Calculated Dimension from Dimensions to create a new attribute.

7. Go to drop down on Type and select Measure-Based Dimension. Name it “Due in Days” and select Measure as “DUE IN DAYS”.

8. Add Member Names and Measure Values as shown in the Image below:

9. From the drop down Dimension Context. Select all attributes except for “CLEARING DATE” and “NET DUE DATE” as shown in the image.

10. After entering all values click OK on bottom right corner.

11. Adding color to Bars select + Add Dimension/Measure >> select “Due in Days”.

12. From the Color drop down select Green for bars.

13. Formatting the tile, go to Styling >> Make Border All Borders followed by Number Format

• Scale : Thousand
• Scale Format: k, m, bn
• Decimal Place: 0

14. Rename the tile to “Incoming by Days” and align next to “Overdue by Days”.

Visualization 2 - Comparison Bars, Payment Prediction

1. Select Chart from Insert tab.

2. Change Chart Orientation to Vertical.

3. Go to measures and select “AMOUNT” and select + Create Calculated Dimension from Dimensions to create a new attribute.

4. Go to drop down on Type and select Measure-Based Dimension. Name it “Predictive Payment Date” and select Measure as “PREDICTIVE OVERDUE DAYS”.

5. Create Member Names and Measure Values as shown in the Image below:

6. From the drop down Dimension Context select all attributes except for “CLEARING DATE” and “NET DUE DATE” as shown in the image.

7. Click OK.

8. Adding color to Bars: select + Add Dimension/Measure >> select “Predictive Payment Date” from the Color drop down. Select Green to Red for bars, green represents payments due in 0 days and the rest are all in red.

9. Formatting the tile as we have done in previous step go to Styling >> Make Border >> All Borders followed by Number Format

   • Scale : Thousand

   • Scale Format: k, m, bn

   • Decimal Place: 0

10. Rename tile to “Payment Prediction”.

11. Align all tiles as shown in below image (If you want to make a new layout feel free to play with tiles and alignments).

12. Don’t forget to save Ctrl + S.
