Configuration of Key Performance Indicator Profiles

Introduction to Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Profiles

A KPI profile is a structured framework that defines the most relevant KPIs for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing revenue growth strategies.

KPI profiles can be applied to an account plan type or a promotion type or both

Advantages of KPI Profiles in SAP Revenue Growth Management

  • Increases transparency through exposing KPI details and calculation logic.
  • Controls the set of KPIs that is visible to business users.
  • Opportunity to see configurable KPIs for specific account plans and promotions.
  • Aids the planning process with specific KPIs.
We are in the KPI Profiles part of the configuration.

A KPI profile can include multiple KPIs that are available in the KPI configuration service.

A promotion type or an account plan type can have only one KPI profile assigned.

Once the KAM creates a promotion of that specific promotion type, only those KPIs that are added to the selected KPI profile are available on the UI to select and view. This helps streamline the set of KPI KAMs can view to aid the planning process.

However, a KPI profile can be assigned to multiple account plan types or promotion types, or both.
