Configuration of Responsibility Area

Responsibility Area Management

To create a responsibility area in SAP Revenue Growth Management:

  1. From the home screen, click on the business configurations icon and select "Responsibility Areas."
  2. Click "Create" to make a new responsibility area.
  3. Select a sales area and validity period, which defines data access.
  4. Choose a customer and product scope.
  5. Modify the automatically generated responsibility area name if needed.
  6. Assign users and set their access duration.
  7. Save the responsibility area as a draft or activate it immediately.
  8. If saved as a draft, activate it later by clicking "Activate" in the list view.

The responsibility area takes effect immediately upon activation.

To create a responsibility sub-area under an existing responsibility area:

  1. Click on the responsibility area to enter the detail view.
  2. Click "Create sub-area."
  3. Confirm the pre-populated data to save manual effort.
  4. Define the sub-area with a smaller product scope for colleague assistance.
  5. Create additional sub-areas as needed.
  6. Ensure assigned users can manage part of the main responsibility area's scope.
  7. Activate the sub-areas for them to take effect.

To copy a responsibility area:

  1. Select the responsibility area to copy, then click "Copy as Sibling."
  2. Choose the customer for the new responsibility area, assign a user and an assignment period, then save.
  3. Activate the responsibility area if saving as a draft.

To copy a responsibility area with its sub-areas:

  1. Follow the same initial steps as above.
  2. When prompted, check the box to copy the sub-areas.
  3. Select a customer to preview the responsibility areas to be copied.
  4. Verify the structure and click "Copy as Draft."
  5. Activate the copied responsibility areas and sub-areas as needed.
