In the SAP S/4HANA 1909 major release, we released the first D&S developments as a native SAP S/4HANA solution for Defense. It focused on the Force Element and fundamental changes in UI, database, relationships, and assignments in use by the new Defense Solution.

The D&S portfolio in SAP S/4HANA has been released since 1809, when Explosives Management on top of SAP S/4HANA Embedded Extended Warehouse Management was released.
Force Element and Defense Logistics were the focus of 1909 and 2020 release cycles, while 2021 and 2022 have been planned to be focused around Disconnected Operations.
