Handling Special Stocks and Physical Inventory in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Learners will develop a comprehensive understanding of advanced inventory topics across two key units. They will be able to identify and differentiate special stock categories in SAP Inventory Management — including customer consignment, returnable packaging, and supplier consignment stock — understanding the ownership, location, and organizational implications of each type, how they integrate with the Sales and Distribution (SD) component, and how to apply the correct movement types and postings for each scenario. Building on this equips learners to execute the full physical inventory lifecycle in SAP S/4HANA — from creating physical inventory documents and performing stock counts, through analyzing discrepancies and posting final differences — while selecting the appropriate inventory method (periodic, cycle counting, or ad-hoc), and configuring cycle counting indicators.
