Integration with SAP Management of Change: Chemical-Related Change Management

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to configure the integration between Incident Management and SAP Management of Change (MoC) to manage chemical-related risks

SAP Management of Change

Changes can introduce new hazards or compromise existing safeguards. Poorly managed changes can have severe consequences, including incidents, injuries, environmental damage, and financial losses. SAP Management of Change (MoC) provides a systematic process for managing risks associated with changes to process chemicals, technology, equipment, procedures, and organizational structures.

Chemical-Related Change Management

Chemical-related change management embeds chemical workplace compliance into the change process. For incidents involving chemical releases, such as spills or exposure, the record directly references substances defined in the Chemical Management module. As an incident manager, you can create and edit chemical details using revisions in the Manage Chemicals app.
