Overview of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Service

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, service is categorized as part of the bigger line of business solution called Asset and Service Management (ASM). It contains three individual "sub" line of business solutions:

  • Asset Management (AM)
  • Field Service Management (FSM)
  • Service Management

This course (S4C25) and its follow-up courses (S4C26 and S4C27) focus on Service Management in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Additionally, the integration of some service management processes within SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Field Service Management (FSM) are covered briefly.

The Service Management line of business solution is comprised of individual solution processes, or also called scope items, designed to support the core business processes that you can find in a company in the area of Service Management. Best practices related to the deployment of these solution processes have been compiled by SAP and can be found via the SAP Signavio Process Navigator (see Lesson 3 for more information about this).

Note

See the following video to learn more about how different solution processes support different types of service processes:

The next lesson provides an overview of the solution processes included in this course and its follow-up courses. More detailed descriptions of their features, use and implementation requirements can be found in the rest of the units of this course and in the courses S4C26 and S4C27.
