Concur Travel’s hotel search locates accommodations near airports, addresses, company locations, or ZIP codes, with a customizable search radius. Administrators set a default radius and configure settings to include corporate hotels within a broader area, ensuring preferred options appear in search results.
In new Concur Travel, some of the Hotel Search Options have been relocated, retired, or updated to align with a more intelligent booking logic that reduces configuration complexity and delivers a more streamlined experience for both administrators and travelers.
The following section outlines the Hotel Search Options settings that remain active and honored in the new Concur Travel experience.
To access the Hotel Search Options on the travel configuration page, use CTRL+ F to search for the setting, as depicted below.

Default Search Radius
This setting allows you to determine the default value for the Search within field in the Travel Wizard when searching for a hotel. The default search radius is set to 5 miles or kilometers (distance units can be set by users in their profile settings). When searching, Concur Travel uses a 5x5 grid, potentially including hotels slightly outside the 5-mile radius at the grid’s corners.

Search Radius for Corporate Hotels
This setting allows you to determine the default value to search for preferred hotel properties (added in the discount area). When selected, this radius will be used to search specifically for preferred vendors regardless of the search radius in the search criteria. In the following example, the Search radius for corporate hotels field is set to 30. So, if a traveler searches within a 5-mile radius, Concur Travel will display all hotels within 5 miles and any corporate hotels within 30 miles.
Hide these profile preferences and search options
As part of the enhanced hotel booking experience in new Concur Travel, the profile settings to hide Crib, Rollaway Bed, and Foam Pillow from the profile preferences have been retired. As these preferences are primarily associated with leisure travel and are not commonly required for business trips, the updated experience is focused on the options most relevant to your work travel needs.
Hotel checkin date prompt for arriving after midnight and before
When a user searches for air + hotel and selects a flight arriving after midnight, the system prompts them to adjust the hotel check-in date to the arrival date — based on the arrival timeframe defined in the dropdown list.

Booking hotels that require a deposit
This setting controls whether travelers can book hotels that require a deposit. Select Do not allow to block such bookings entirely, or Allow if no approval needed to permit them only when the booking does not require manager or administrative approval.

Note
User confirmation of hotel rate policy
This setting determines if travelers are asked to confirm the hotel rate policy during booking. Select Require to always prompt confirmation, Skip unless deposit needed to prompt only when the rate requires a deposit, or Always Skip to bypass the confirmation step entirely.

The image below shows the Review and Reserve Hotel page with the rate rules acknowledgement setting enabled and set to Require. When set to Require, travelers must check the "I agree to the hotel's rate rules, restrictions, and cancellation policy" checkbox before they can proceed to reserve their hotel. This is the recommended setting to ensure travelers are informed of the hotel's terms prior to completing their booking..

Display Neighborhood Safety Score (GDS hotels only)
Available in the new Concur Travel experience, the Neighborhood Safety Score feature displays GeoSure safety ratings for the area surrounding hotel properties during booking, helping travelers make informed decisions — with visibility controlled by administrators.
