Working with Rail Connectors

Introducing Rail Connectors in new Concur Travel

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to manage Rail Connectors on the Travel Configuration Page in new Concur Travel.

Introducing Rail Connectors in new Concur Travel

Rail Direct Connect or API vendors are managed in Rail Connectors on the Company Travel Configuration page. The Manage Rail Connectors feature allows administrators to add and manage rail connectors within a company's travel system. Connectors are typically used when a customer has a contract with a vendor that provides access to their inventory and content.

To access the Manage Rail Connectors settings on the Travel Configuration page, use CTRL+F to search for the setting as depicted in the following graphic.

Screenshot with gold highlights on the search box (showing 'rail connectors' search) and the Rail Connectors section, which notes that Rail Direct Connect settings have moved there, with a 'Manage Rail Connectors' link.

In Manage Rail Connectors, direct connects for Trainline Global API, Deutsche Bahn [bahn.business] and Amtrak are currently supported.

  • Iryo
  • SBB
  • ÖBB
  • SNCF

These rail connections are available on both web and mobile applications. This feature is supported for customers using Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport Global Distribution Systems (GDS).

Note

An agreement between Trainline and the Travel Management Company (TMC) must be established prior to enabling the Trainline Global API, in new Concur Travel. Review the Trainline Global Connector guide for additional information.
