Working with Air Options

Manage Air Connectors in new Concur Travel

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to manage Air Connector options in new Concur Travel on the Travel Configuration page.

Introducing Manage Air Connector in nCT

Direct Connect or API vendors are managed through Concur Travel’s Manage Air Connectors feature. This feature allows administrators to add and manage connectors for air travel bookings within a company's travel system. Connectors are used to access vendors or rates that can’t be booked through the Global Distribution System GDS.

In new Concur Travel, direct connects for Travelfusion, GDS NDC (New Distribution Capability) Content, Cleartrip Direct Connect and Ryanair are currently supported.

Note

Multiple SAP Concur product versions and UI themes are available, so this content might contain images or procedures that do not precisely match your implementation. For example, when SAP Fiori UI themes are implemented, home page navigation is consolidated under the SAP Concur Home menu.

Access to Guaranteed Ticketing Carriers

When enabling Air Connectors, we also need to Allow Access to Guaranteed Ticketing carriers. You can find this option within the Air Search Options section of the Travel Configuration page. Review the following graphic and corresponding information to learn more about the available options for Guaranteed Ticketing Carriers.

Note

The Travel Agent permission is required to access a Company Travel Configuration. The section on Air Connectors is located at the top of the Travel Configuration page, just below the Agency Information section. If you’re within another section of the company’s travel configuration, you can use the scroll bar or the back to top link to return to the top of the page.

Image depicts, highlighted dropdown Access to Guaranteed Ticketing carriers open; Allow selected; other visible options: Guaranteed Ticketing carriers not available, Allow if fare violates no rules, Allow unless manager approval is required, Show but don’t allow.

Let’s look at the options listed in the dropdown menu:

  • Guaranteed Ticketing Carriers not available - Disables this feature
  • Allow if fare violates no rules - If no Travel Policy rules are triggered, access is allowed
  • Allow unless manager approval is required - Access is granted only if the Travel Policy rule enforcement does not Require Approval
  • Show but do not allow- Show available results but do not allow the user to book
  • Allow - This option overrides any broken rules and allows users to book the flights anyway; users will still see the broken rules, but the radio button to choose the flights will not be disabled

To write passive segments for Travelfusion, you need to enable the option Write passive segments for non-GDS content if I have not specified a default for the specific vendor in the table below in the GDS PNR Options.
