Introducing the Budget Settings

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to explain basic Budget Settings.

Basics of Budget Settings

Use the Budget Settings tab to turn budget settings on or off that apply to all users.

Reviewing and updating these settings is a required step in building the configuration.

1Set alert and control limit percentAlert Limit Percent: Set to trigger a yellow indicator at a specified consumption percentage (default 80%). Control Limit Percent: Set to show a red indicator when consumption exceeds the set percentage (100% by default).
2Set notificationsEnable email alerts for both alert and control limit thresholds. Restrict notifications for past Budgets for past budgets, limiting alerts to current and future periods.
3Set budget captureActivate budget capture for Concur Expense, Concur Request, Purchase Request, and Concur Invoice.
4Set budget managerEnable manager filtering in Budget Items. Enable the use of an Alternate Budget Manager if the primary approver is unspecified in Profile Settings.
5Set budget adjustmentsAllow budget owners to add adjustments for increased flexibility and control.

Note

Enable or disable each setting based on the company's needs.
