Records management refers to the systematic control of documents and attachments throughout the procurement lifecycle. In public sector procurement, this ensures compliance, transparency, and efficient access to all relevant files.
SAP's native attachment handling can be enhanced or substituted by the partner solution OpenText xECM. When connected, xECM automatically organizes, synchronizes, and transfers documents across SAP procurement processes, and creates structured workspaces that group all relevant files and correspondence in one place throughout the document lifecycle.
You can use an OpenText xECM Business Workspace at the Header and Item level of each of the following:
- Purchase Requisition
- Sourcing Project
- Quotation
- Purchase Contract
- Purchase Order
