During the downtime-optimized conversion run, you may have to apply SAP Notes on the target release. The notes have to be applied on the temporary (TMP) instance, in case a downtime-optimized conversion run including Database Migration Option (DMO) is executed, or on the shadow (SHD) instance in case of a downtime-optimized conversion without database migration. The TMP/SHD repository is based on the target released and has been created by Software Update Manager from the downloaded export media. If changes, for example, fixes, are required they need to be implemented using SAP Notes on top of the TMP/SHD repository. Software Update Manager will show a respective dialog, listing the required SAP Notes. In addition, SAP Note 3116681 may list SAP Notes to be applied, even if those SAP Notes are not (yet) shown on the Software Update Manager dialog.
