When transferring environments across tenants in SAP, it's essential to know what artifacts get transported automatically and what requires specific action. It ensures that both the structure and necessary data are effectively managed during the transfer.

Automatically Transported Artifacts
Certain artifacts are automatically transported when you move environments between tenants. They are critical for maintaining the environment's functional structure:
Manage Environments:
The overall environment settings, including configurations specific to the tenant.
Manage Fields:
All field definitions within the environment, ensuring that the fields are available in the target tenant as they are in the source.
Functions:
Custom functions and scripts associated with the environment.
Connections:
Details about the data connections to external data sources.
Teams:
Team configurations, including user roles and permissions within the environment.

Optionally Transported Artifacts
Some artifacts are optionally transported, which means their transfer depends on specific settings and configurations:
Manage Reports:
Reports and report pages can be optionally included.
It ensures that custom reports and their associated pages are transferred accurately.
Manage Processes:
Business processes defined within the environment.
Any linked activities associated with these processes.
Manage Activities:
Custom activities that are part of business processes.
Activities tied to specific workflows or tasks.
Manage Layouts:
Layout configurations, including views and page layouts.
Ensures the visual and functional layout of the environment is preserved.
Data Transport Option:
A critical aspect to understand is the transport of data:
Structure versus Data:
Structure Transport: By default, only the structure (field definitions, layout, and schema) of the environment is transported automatically.
Data Transport: Actual data within the model entities can be optionally transported by enabling a specific setting.
Enabling Data Transport:
Transport Option: In the model entity or function configuration settings, there's an option called Transport Data.
Purpose: When enabled, this option ensures that the data within those entities are also transported, not just the structure.
