The High-Level Deployment Process

This lesson will describe the key phases and tasks of successfully deploying SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite.

Across the deployment journey, there are key aspects that require insights into how the solution is architected, the configuration capabilities the platform supports, and the tools available to you.

SAP suggests using the SAP Activate methodology to assist with the deployment of SAP Ariba solutions. Project templates, guidelines, and tools for managing your deployment of SAP Ariba solutions are available through SAP Cloud ALM. The Activate methodology outlines six phases of the application lifecycle:

  • Discover
  • Prepare
  • Explore
  • Realize
  • Deploy
  • Run

Although we'll be focusing on the Prepare to Deploy phases, some of the capabilities and tools are also applicable to continue improvements of your solution in the Run phase.
