The baseline is the configuration on top of which your fit-to-standard workshops and requirements will be gathered during the Explore phase. It will form the starting point for your customer experience.
A good baseline will:
- Improve customer experience
- Leverage leading or industry best practice
- Shorten project duration and time to value
A baseline can be achieved by leveraging the default SAP baseline, or sharing and applying a custom partner bundle as a baseline.
Once the site is provisioned, SAP will apply the SAP Leading Practice baseline, on top of which a Functional Lead can overlay their solution baseline. For Greenfield deployment scenarios, sharing a partner configuration can leverage tools in the intelligent configuration manager to share (build/export/import) the configuration in a "bundle".
