SAP Signavio Integrations

Hello and welcome to the SAP CS learning journey session dealing with extension and integration scenarios for SAP SIGNAVIO. I'm Manuel Techl, product lead for API and integrations at SAP SIGNAVIO and I will guide you through an overview of our ecosystem and some interesting use cases. So first of all, why is the ecosystem important for SAP SIGNAVIO? The answer is simple because our customers need to solve complex business problems that no single software solution can deliver alone. alone. So we do have strong capabilities within our sub-Signalware suite, but we need further capabilities for a holistic end-to-end transformation approach. And with that we can, for instance, maximize the value of existing investments in SAP Signalware but also into other solutions to ensure a low TCO for the transformation. We also evolve an end-to-end thinking for better efficiency, collaboration, visibility across the processes and different teams and departments. And we offer best-in-class capabilities to build tailored solutions to solve complex business problems. So how does this look like? Today we have different buckets of integration. So first of all, the obvious one with more than 20 ASAP integrations across different LOBs. For instance, transactional applications like SAP S4HANA, Ariba SuccessFactors, and others, mainly integrated with our sub-signal real processing insights and process intelligence solutions. We have integration with our business technology platform offering on different levels, both on the technology infrastructure part, but also some ready-to-use services for integrations and extensions. We do integrate with SAP Build portfolio for automations, workflows, and low-code, no-code apps. From a transformation toolchain perspective, we do integrate with SAP Solution Manager, and in the future also with SAP Cloud RLM, and currently also with SAP Enable Now to fulfill the whole toolchain, which we'll see in a second. We also offer integration with the SAP Analytics Stack for dashboards, data warehousing, and for data sources, for instance, SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP DataSphere. And last but not least, we also integrate with tools like SAP Financial Compliance Management for process-based controls. Next to that, we offer a set of strategic technology partnerships. You can see LinearX there, right, which got acquired by SAP, so it's formally an SAP integration, but for the time being, we still sell LinearX as a solution extension, hence it's part of that column. And next to that, we also offer a technology partnership and integration with NOAA for user experience management and analytics around that. We also offer a set of validated partner solutions within the SAP store. For instance, Datrix, GRC software solution specialized for risk mining, offering an integration to SAP SignalView and automation anywhere for task mining. Next to that, we also offer more than 30 technical ecosystem integrations, for instance, several PROS intelligence connectors like ServiceNow or Jira and multiple API-based integrations, for instance, to SharePoint or Qualtrics. So how does this look in action? There are different use cases possible. I picked four use cases to show our integration ecosystem. First, we see here the transformation tool chain with SAP Signavio, Linax, SAP Solution Manager, Trisendis, and SAP Enable Now to ensure successful continuous transformations. So as you can see here, we use SAP Signavio for the process dimension to analyze process, enhance them and design new ones. We do have an integration with LinearX, which offers same capabilities for the application system side. So analyzing the portfolio, enhancing the portfolio, designing a new portfolio. And we do offer an integration too, so that LinearX push applications into our dictionary. We can then use these dictionary items for modeling and expose the process models back to Linux X. I will show you that in a second. After the design process, we can then send them over to the SAP Solution Manager, where the solution is designed based on a process, the build is managed, and also the testing. And with that, we offer integration via SAP Solution Manager and focus build with Tricent. After successful testing, the solution is deployed. And we can again use SAP SIGnavio and SAP Enable now for enablement. So let me quickly show you how this looks in action. We see here a demo of SubSignabio together with LinearX. So we start within LinearX where we manage a roadmap of different projects to improve our lifecycle of applications. So we can simply click on the source to pay optimization, which is a factory LinearX. We can then see the different processes and business capabilities assigned. So this optimization process belongs to the business capability of operational procurement. And behind that are two processes which are pushed from SIGNAVIO to Linux, which is the procurement of direct material running in ECC or in S4HANA. So we are in the middle of a transformation project. And we can then easily see within the ECC process the linked process model from SAP SIGNAVIO. and we can also easily navigate to the S4HANA part, where we can also consume the 2B model, and we can easily via link switch then to Sub-Signal via Process Manager, and we can then model the process and leverage, you can see it on the right side under the custom attributes, several artifacts from LinearX. So for instance, if we click to S4HANA, This is an IT system which was pushed from Linax to Signavio, and we can see this directly within the process model. All right, let's switch back to the slides. So the next use case is around the integration with SAP Financial Compliance Management in the area of GRC. So it's very crucial for a successful business transformation to ensure governance, risk, and compliance to provide transparency through a single source of truth, increase the automation, and we also use ready-to-run content to ensure at the end of the day compliance. An integration is set up the following way, using SAP Cloud Integration, also known as SAP Integration Stream running on BTP. We will start in SAP Financial Compliance Management, which is part of the S4HANA stack to create some controls, also including status updates. We can then replicate automatically those controls to the dictionary and use them in the business process modeling to attach them as process-based controls, and the assignment of business process to control is then also replicated back to a sub-FCM, so the GRC people can easily also consume processes and the links to control. Let's also see how this will look in action. We are starting in sub-financial compliance management, which is in Fiori-based application. From there, we click on manage controls and create a new control, which is in our case, the control to ensure that only a legible equipment is replaced. We also add some other attributes which are necessary, create this control, and this control is then replicated in the background via the interface to the sub-signal process manager into the dictionary. So we switch the sub-signal and edit an existing process model and we can easily now go into the respective process task where we would like to attach this control. This could be done via attribute. So we do have an attribute activity control, which is part of the integration. And we can easily browse in the repository of controls from FCM, find the right one, save this process. And then in the background, it's sent back to financial compliance management solution. So within FCM, we can see very easily under related objects that this control is now assigned to a business process, it's here, it's actually needed. And we can also jump back to the process from here and the dictionary entry of this specific control. Okay. Let's dive deeper into the next use case, which is around process intelligence. So one crucial part of process intelligence is to get process data in the solution, which is from a component perspective of a process data management part of process intelligence, to really acquire process and experience data from various data sources using multiple integration options, right. And this helps us to reduce time to insight through standard integrations to several enterprise applications, database, data likes, whatever. You can also leverage BTP-based integration out of the box connectivity or data transformation using SAP DataSphere, Data Intelligence Cloud, SAP Cloud Integration, or on the bright side, you can also use our APIs or file uploads to bring your own data, bring your own integration, and this really helps you to ensure that you have the lowest possible time to insight. I will also show you in a quick demo how this will look like in action. We're here in the process intelligence solution. Let's create an integration with SAP DataSphere, so simply go to Process Data Management, Manage Data, open the Connections part. Let's create a new connection under Cloud Storage and Warehouse. we can find SAP Datasphere that's created. In order to configure it, we need the host and credentials. So switch back to Datasphere, Wellness Base Management, database access. In the info part, you can find the host name and also the user and the respective password. Let's copy over the host name, username, and password to create the connectivity. Save this, go back, Go to source data, create a new source data in the area of cloud storage data sphere, just find the connection which is created. With that, we can add a table. So you can simply search the tables available in SAP data sphere. Let's do that. Select the table, select all the columns, and select also the primary key for the data. And then you can simply extract the data using the Extract button and run your data analysis afterwards. Let's again switch back to the slides. And let's come to our last use case, which is around process intelligence actions. So, we do have also the capabilities to integrate applications, foster data-driven decision-making and automate processes across heterogeneous environments based on process insights, insights in process intelligence. This helps us to, on the one hand side, process quick fixes, right? Using process mining insights, for instance, do something in SAP S4HANA. We can, as a second use case, trigger workflows, which may also require human interaction. SAP build. This helps also to identify and quantify automation use cases. And last but not least, we are also able to notify and alert customers whenever something happens in the process dimension. We do integrate with multiple out of the box integration vendors and also offer a big agnostic integration. And let's also see the last demo again in action. So we're here again in Sub-Signal via Process Intelligence. We're opening an investigation. And starting from this investigation, we find a widget which would be interesting to use as a blueprint to trigger an integration over workflow. We have here some impacted orders which are blocked, right? Some blocked orders which need to get unblocked, otherwise they are delayed. So we are interested in getting exactly the signal query to identify those orders and trigger an action to unblock them in the SAP S4HANA system. So for that, click on edit. With that, it opens the widget editor and we can simply look up or copy the signal query code. Let's do that, and as an extra, create an action in Process Intelligence, define a name. We also need to paste now the signal query as a rule, so whenever this rule is matched, we can then trigger the workflow. With that, we have also preview on the impacted data objects. This looks fine, so what's the action afterwards? Instead of sending mail, let's select SAP Build Process Automation, and after setting up the integration between process intelligence and build process automation, let's select the trigger, so we can directly search for a predefined trigger, which was created in our case order approval process, and with that switch to build. With the build, we will work with multiple projects. We have this demo here and we have multiple artifacts. In that case, we have this trigger, so executive trigger we selected in Process Intelligence, which is then running the process which is behind this trigger. In our case, we need some inputs in order to proceed. We have some inputs and forms. The approval form will receive those data from Process Intelligence and then performs the workflow. So within the approval form, let's set up the data needed. So in our case, several fields and an approval and a recheck button. Let's navigate back to the actions functionality and define the field mapping. So we need to map the fields from the signal query to the fields expected by the workflow, which is the ID, the amount of the order. the product configuration, the country, as well as the on-time delivery. Then we can create a workflow, confirm it, and we can directly from the Overview page run this in order to try it out and in real-world scenario it's then scheduled. If we keep on run now, we can see an SAP build in the inbox that there is a new task assigned based on the action, and we can also directly see the data coming directly from Process Intelligence, and we can approve it to unblock the order directly in the SAP S4HANA system, and we can see that this works now, and we can go back to Process Intelligence and check the process, how it works.
