Describing Options for Integrating SAP Ariba Supplier Management Solutions With External Systems

1. These methods support the import of data from the ERP to a limited number of supplier and supplier contact fields in the unified vendor model. Export of supplier and supplier contact data back to the ERP is not supported.
2. Available for questionnaire data mapped to supplier database fields in the unified vendor model.
3. Available through the import of questionnaires with data mapped to supplier database fields in the unified vendor model.
4. Available only in sites that have migrated from the classic architecture (supplier organizations) to the new architecture (unified vendor model). Export of supplier profile data back to the ERP system is not supported.
5. These methods use SAP ABAP transports to send and receive data files in SOAP messages to and from the SAP Ariba system.

SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway supports the following systems:

• SAP EHP 0 to EHP 8 for SAP ERP 6.0
• SAP S/4HANA 1610, SAP S/4HANA 1709, SAP S/4HANA 1809, and SAP S/4HANA 1909

To integrate SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA with SAP Ariba solutions using SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway requires the installation of the related add-on:

• SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway, add-on for SAP ERP
• SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway, add-on for SAP S/4HANA

For the outbound integration between SAP ERP and the unified vendor model in SAP Ariba, you must activate the following MDG business functions:

• CA_BP_SOA
• CA_SUPPLIER_SOA
• DRF_FOUNDATION

If your solution package does not include SAP Ariba Procurement solutions, the SAP Ariba integration toolkit integrates supplier data in the following process flow:

1. ERP sends supplier organization and extended profile data to the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions supplier organization data model.
2. A limited number of supplier organization fields are synchronized to the unified vendor model.
3. If your solution previously used the supplier profile questionnaire and you have mapped its questions to registration questionnaires, supplier profile data is synchronized to the corresponding mapped questions in registration questionnaires.
4. If you have mapped questions in registration questionnaires to Ariba Network supplier profile fields, when a supplier updates their profile on the Ariba Network, those updates are automatically pushed to the registration questionnaires.

If your solution package includes SAP Ariba Procurement solutions, an SAP Ariba integration toolkit configuration integrates supplier data in the following process flow:

1. ERP sends supplier and supplier location data to SAP Ariba Procurement solutions. If your solution also includes SAP Ariba Sourcing or SAP Ariba Contracts, or you have migrated from SAP Ariba Supplier Information and Performance Management (classic architecture), ERP also sends supplier profile data to SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions.
2. Common data synchronization fully synchronizes supplier data from SAP Ariba Procurement solutions to SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions, where it is stored in the supplier organization data model.
3. A limited number of supplier organization fields are synchronized to the unified vendor model.
4. If your solution previously used the supplier profile questionnaire and you have mapped its questions to registration questionnaires, supplier profile data is synchronized to the corresponding mapped questions in registration questionnaires.
5. If you have mapped questions in registration questionnaires to Ariba Network supplier profile fields, when a supplier updates their profile on the Ariba Network, those updates are automatically pushed to the registration questionnaires.

If your solution package does not include SAP Ariba Procurement solutions, SOAP web service APIs integrate supplier data in the following process flow:

1. ERP sends supplier organization, supplier user, and extended profile data to the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions supplier organization data model.
2. A limited number of supplier organization and supplier user data fields are synchronized to the unified vendor model.
3. If your solution previously used the supplier profile questionnaire and you have mapped its questions to registration questionnaires, supplier profile data is synchronized to the corresponding mapped questions in registration questionnaires.
4. If you have mapped questions in registration questionnaires to Ariba Network supplier profile fields, when a supplier updates their profile on the Ariba Network, those updates are automatically pushed to the registration questionnaires.
