Describing the Template Upgrade Process

Template upgrade allows you to update existing control-based engagement risk assessment projects to the latest version of the Supplier Risk Engagement Template so they can include your organization's most recent risk processes.

To apply template process updates, complete the following steps:

1. (One time) Enable the required and recommended parameters.
2. Prepare your template for upgrade.
3. Make engagement projects available for template update.
4. (User task) Upgrade an engagement project to the latest template version.
5. View the status of engagement projects selected for template upgrade.

Only engagement projects with the status of In progress or Completed can be selected for template upgrade.

• Projects that are going through edit (before completion), periodic review, or change request (including change request edit) can’t be selected for template upgrade.

Template upgrade doesn't support the replacement of any survey documents.

• Instead, edit survey documents by adding new questions and deleting or modifying existing questions.

Deleting questions, changing answer types, and editing tasks is not recommended.
