Explaining Minimum Data Requirements for Suppliers and Supplier Contacts

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to explain the minimum data requirements for suppliers and supplier contacts.

Minimum Data Requirements for Suppliers and Supplier Contacts

For suppliers to be eligible for risk monitoring, the following data is required:

  • ERP vendor ID
  • Name
  • At least one piece of address information
    • SAP Ariba recommends that you provide as much address information as possible to improve the quality of data matches from content and service providers.
  • DUNS ID* (optional)

To add enriched corporate information to supplier profiles, SAP Ariba Supplier Risk uses specific data about the supplier:

  • To enrich the supplier's profile with country data, the supplier data must contain a valid country code for the supplier.
  • To enrich the supplier's profile with other corporate information, such as number of employees or year founded, the supplier data must include the city, state, or country code.
    • *If the address information is not included, but the supplier data does include a valid Dun & Bradstreet ID, in some cases, SAP Ariba Supplier Risk can extrapolate from that ID in order to add enriched corporate information to the supplier's profile.

For supplier contacts to be eligible to receive control-based engagement risk assessments, the following data is required:

  • Contact first name
  • Contact last name
  • Contact email
