ARI-20835: Supplier Risk Administrative User Permissions

Technical Details

    • SAP Ariba Supplier Risk
  • User Type
    • Buyer
  • Enablement Model
    • Customer configured

Description

SAP Ariba Supplier Risk users who are a part of the Supplier Risk Manager user group are currently responsible for a large number of administrative tasks in the SAP Ariba Supplier Risk dashboard, SM Administration area, and so on. As a part of this feature, we provide the ability to delegate some of the administrative actions to other SAP Ariba Supplier Risk users. To enable this, there are four new user groups created with a set of permissions assigned to each of them. This allows the other SAP Ariba Supplier Risk users to submit supplier information for risk evaluation, generate reports, register third-party providers, and configure risk calculations of suppliers respectively.

Note

The four new user groups count as Users in SAP Ariba Supplier Risk. Therefore, all the new roles in these user groups require paid licensing. For more information about group licensing, see Group Licensing Reference.

Changes to User Groups

Currently, only the SAP Ariba Supplier Risk users who are a part of the Supplier Risk Manager user group are able to perform all the administrative actions in SAP Ariba Supplier Risk. This feature establishes four new user groups and allows other SAP Ariba Supplier Risk users who are added to the new user groups to perform the respective administrative actions.

The following table lists the new user groups along with their respective capabilities:

Information for Buyers

Other than the Supplier Risk Manager user group, no other user group currently has the permission to submit supplier information for risk evaluation, generate reports, register third-party providers, and configure risk calculations of suppliers. Other SAP Ariba Supplier Risk users must be added to the new groups to perform their respective actions.

User Interface Changes

The Licensed Provider Summary report includes a new column called Username. This column provides the name of the user who submitted the corresponding supplier for evaluation.

NGSM-6184: Monitor Findings for Finding and Event Collaboration

Technical Details

  • Applicable Products
    • SAP Ariba Supplier Risk
  • User Type
    • Buyer
  • Enablement Model
    • Automatically on

Description

The Monitor Findings app is a new application that enables Finding and Event Collaboration users to easily view and download reports regarding actions initiated with suppliers, enabling users to track progress and take further action where necessary.

Finding and Event Collaboration users can view only those findings they are directly collaborating on based on their involvement and contributions to specific findings. The user role Finding Reporting Manager has also been introduced to provide access to all findings regardless of the users direct involvement. Users can customize reports to reflect specific findings such as business impact, influences, department, etc, customize the order of included fields, and export the data to a spreadsheet for further analysis.

The following fields are available for reporting:

  • ID: The unique identification for each initiated action.
  • Finding Name: The name associated with the initiated action.
  • Supplier: The supplier linked to the action.
  • Status: The current status of the initiated action.
  • Commodities: One or more commodities (goods or services) the findings relate to. For example, cereal grains, cargo insurance, or precious metal.
  • Regions: One or more regions the findings are specific to. For example, Asia Pacific, Slovenia, or Arizona.
  • Departments: One or more departments of buyer's operations the finding relate to. For example, manufacturing, sales, or finance.
  • Influences: One or more aspects of your business that the supplier findings can influence. For example, a finding that relates to a supplier facing a class action lawsuit can influence the regulatory and legal aspect of your business.
  • Business Impact: Provides information about the Business Impact associated with the action.
  • Source Finding ID: The identification of the preceding document, if applicable.
  • Source Project Type: The type of the preceding document, if applicable.
  • Due Date: The next review date.
  • Target Resolution Date: The date by which the finding response must resolve or mitigate the issues raised in the finding. If you are a Finding Response Coordinator, you specify this date when preparing a response for a finding.

Prerequisites

Your organization must have an SAP Business Technology Platform account.

Your organization must have a license for and complete setup steps in SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication, and an administrator must have roles there that allow them to manage tenant configurations and users.

You've created internal findings users in Identity Authentication as part of configuring single sign-on between SAP Ariba Supplier Risk and Finding and Event Collaboration.

Restrictions

Users are restricted to only those findings they are directly collaborating on based on their involvement and contributions to specific findings. To view all findings regardless of your involvement, your administrator must assign the role of Finding Reporting Manager.

User Interface Changes

On the Finding and Event Collaboration launch pad, the new tile Monitor Findings has been added to launch the Monitor Findings app.

When the Monitor Findings app is launched, the Monitor Findings dashboard opens with all findings available to the user role displayed in the Findings table along with the number of findings displayed. A user can then use the available filters to further refine the report before downloading the report to a spreadsheet.

Administrator Information

Assign a user or users to the user role Finding Reporting Manager.

Note

Administrators in SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication can assign a user the role of Finding Reporting Manager by adding them to the user group FindingReportingManager.
