Overview & Use Case
This enhancement lets supplier administrators manage company name updates directly, ensuring accurate supplier information and aligned agreements. Supplier Administrators can update their own company names from the Supplier Company Details page, with changes reflected across Supplier and Buyer views and in Supplier Access Agreements.
This short video outlines how Supplier administrators can update their own company names from the Supplier Company Details page, with changes reflected across Supplier and Buyer views and in Supplier Access Agreements.
UI Impact & Workflow Changes
When accessing the Company Details admin object, the Supplier Administrator now is presented with an ability to edit the Company Name from user interface. In addition to the ability to change, the supplier can also define an Effective Date for that change.

On the Effective Date, the system prompts the Supplier Administrator to sign the Supplier Access Agreement, acknowledging the Supplier's name change. An area within the Company Details page for the Supplier will also reflect a Name Change History log for reference.
Configuration Steps
Upon a supplier name change, Buyers will then see the updated Supplier name when viewing Supplier details (upon the effective date). Other Supplier users from the same company will see the updated name in their preferences.
The Name Change History section records the update in the application for ongoing reference. This is available both on the Buyer and Supplier's view of the Supplier or Company Details page accordingly.
