The RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP journeys offer a modular, scalable approach to digital transformation, enabling organizations of all sizes to embrace innovation at their own pace. RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP are not just pathways, they’re accelerators that help businesses unlock the full potential of SAP Business Suite.

RISE with SAP Journey: Installed Base Customers

Installed base customers often come with a lot of complexity and large landscapes. They expect us to lead them into our SAP Business Suite vision and help them in their transformation while unlocking value every step of the way. That is where the RISE with SAP journey comes into play. This journey can lead to run ERP and line of business applications in an entirely public cloud landscape , a private cloud implementation or a hybrid scenario where customers have a mix of public and private cloud implementation.

It is critical is for customers that have done a ‘lift and shift’ exercise to recognize that the journey is not over, it has just started. It is a multi-step journey.

We need to help them do two things:

  • Replace on-premise line of business solutions operated in private cloud, with our public cloud solutions.
  • Empower customers to take full advantage of the cloud by moving customers to our SaaS LoB applications (e.g., HR, manufacturing, procurement, etc).

Why is it good for the customer to go down the path with us? Because our Suite is integrated, the data model is harmonized, the semantics are consistent. The insights are built in, and SAP Business AI functioning on top of the customers operational data along end-to-end processes is unmatched.

Going forward, we need to be much clearer about the "journey" element of a transformation to the SAP Business Suite – drive less ‘lift and shift’ and more transformation from the beginning – assess current state, outline the roadmap, and build the target architecture. That is why we added powerful capabilities to the RISE with SAP journey, such as our Business Transformation Management (BTM) tooling, extensibility credits and an enterprise architect who needs to map out exactly that journey.

GROW with SAP Journey: Net New ERP Customers

GROW with SAP supports new ERP customers in starting with SAP Business Suite, driving SAP's future growth alongside theirs. New customers always start with the public cloud. This journey provides an ever-green SAP Business Suite, always on the latest version and innovations.

However, GROW with SAP is not just about ERP. Just like with RISE with SAP, we need to reach the right personas for SAP Business Suite, including finance, supply chain, human resources, procurement, and customer experience. It is important to move beyond the CIO and open doors to multiple entry points into SAP Business Suite by persona.

Two Journeys, One Destination
