New Features of Organizational Management Objects

In systems with the Enterprise Organizational Model enabled, the following attributes are available in the definition of the enterprise service organization:

  • Planning plant
  • SLA profiles (response profile and service profile)
  • Main work center
  • Main work center plant

The following attributes are optional:

  • Spare part plant
  • Storage location

In release 2025, service team determination is possible with the enterprise service organization as well. A BAdI is available for service team determination based on standard and custom attributes.

Since release 2025, in systems with the Enterprise Organizational Model enabled, a Customizing option is available where you can assign a sales area to service transaction types. Use the Customizing menu path ServiceBasic FunctionsEnterprise Organizational ManagementAssign Sales Area to Service Transaction Types.

Customizing menu paths in Sales and Distribution no longer need to be used.

New Features of Master Data

Since release 2025, the item division in a service document can be inherited from the header. Always irrespective of the division in the product master. This is done via a Customizing setting at transaction type level. Use the following menu path in Customizing: ServiceTransactionsBasic SettingsDefine Transaction Types.

Note

This is applicable only for items with item categories with BUS000112, BUS000116 and BUS000117.

  • The enterprise service organization got enhanced in Customizing. Several attributes are available.
  • You can assign a sales area to service transaction types directly in Customizing for Service (no need for Sales and Distribution configuration options anymore).
  • You can allow the service item division to be populated from the service transaction header.
  • You can copy the accounting indicator from the master warranty of a technical object to the item(s) of a service order.
  • A BAdI is available for determining the service team.
