High-Level Scope
Configure which user roles can access and/or change which price and cost details of a pricing procedure in sales contracts.

Availability
Role-based access is available for the following apps:
- Manage Sales Contracts - Version 2
- Create Sales Contracts - VA41
- Change Sales Contracts - VA42
- Display Sales Contracts - VA43
Role: Configuration Expert
Configuration Activity:
You set up the SOT of role-based access in Enable Role-Based Access to Price Elements per SOT. In this activity, you must enable the SAP Object Type of sales contract to set up the access.
Role: Configuration Expert
Configuration Activity:
You set up the access levels in Define Access Levels for Price Elements. In this activity, you set up access levels according to the degree of sensitivity of specific price elements.
Role: Administrator
Configuration Activity:
You grant the access to selected price elements for business users in Maintain Business Roles. Here, you can define the restrictions for the Access to Price Elements restriction type.
Note
The SOT of sales contracts shall be enabled in as the first step.

You assign the appropriate access level to a condition type or to a subtotal line in a pricing procedure in Set Pricing Procedure.
