Configuring General Settings of a 360 Template
Objective
Terminology
General Settings
The General Settings section is where the foundational pieces of the template are defined. This section contains options that will affect the form globally. It means that changes here provide the basic settings for the form to function correctly. If you happen to forget to attach a route map or rating scale, you will receive a warning message because those fields are required to make the form functional.
The General Settings section is accessed upon selecting a template from Manage Templates→360 Multi Rater tab.
Key fields in General Settings include:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Title of the template that will be visible to end users. An implementation consultant will configure language pack translations, but you may modify the translation independently here. |
| Description | Short description of the form that is only visible in the Manage Templates area to administrators. |
| Allow managers to select external raters themselves | Allows managers to enter and select external raters on their own, without an administrator entering the external raters. This provides an additional box within the 360 review form to enter external raters while preparing a 360 review rater list. |
| Route Map | Directs the workflow of the form during the review cycle and is required before saving the form template. |
| Route Map Description | Description of the route map will be displayed for reference if it exists. |
| Rating Scale | The default scale for all sections of the 360 Reviews form. If you choose to have a different scale for another ratable section (e.g., Competencies, Goals, Summary), you may associate a scale to each of those sections individually. |
| Hide numeric rating values (only show text labels) | When enabled, the rating scale displays as a drop-down list with only the text of each scale anchor (e.g., Exceeds Expectations) visible. |
| Unable to Rate | Allows an additional selection added to the rating scale that is the equivalent of a Not Applicable score where there is no positive or negative impact to the subject of the form. This field will override all other sections of the 360 Reviews form that are ratable, so if only specific sections should have this option, configure it in those respective sections, not General Settings. |
| Enabled anonymity in the 360 review reporting functions | Protects raters by not allowing the subject of the 360 Reviews form to download individual forms to view ratings and comments. Only the aggregate scores are available. |
| Advanced Settings | Links to Form Template Settings where several buttons and general settings that affect the functionality of the 360 Reviews form to an end user are enabled or disabled. Form Template Settings may also be accessed from the Action Search or the Admin Center. |

Administrators can get additional help with Admin Tools by using the Learn More links that can appear on any administrator page. When an administrator selects Learn More, a new tab opens to an SAP Help Portal page to provide more information and links related to the current Admin Tool. Learn More links are enabled by default and always on.
