Assignment Recommendations: Consider Target Roles
Assignment recommendations in Opportunity Marketplace→Broaden Your Experience now consider users' target roles.
The system calculates a target role match score using binary logic: if any of the employee's target roles matches the assignment's job role, the score is 1; otherwise, it's 0. This score is combined with existing factors such as skills and location to generate a final recommendation score. The final score is calculated using the following formula: ((Total Attribute Points + Target Role Points) / (Number of Required Attributes + 1)) * 0.8 + (Location Match Score * 0.2).
This enhancement was introduced to improve the relevance of assignment recommendations.
What's Changed
How It Looks NowIn the current version, assignment recommendations in the Broaden Your Experience section consider the user's target role.
How It Looked BeforeIn the previous version, assignment recommendations in the Broaden Your Experience section didn't consider the user's target role.

Additional Filters for Open Job Recommendations in Opportunity Marketplace
Administrators can now add a geographic filter and a custom job level filter to open job recommendations. Users will only receive open job recommendations that match the geographic filter and the custom job level filter rule defined by the administrator.
In Admin Center→Manage Opportunity Marketplace, the new Recommendation Filters button is added to open jobs, which allows administrators to configure the pay grade filter as well as the new geographic filter.
- For the geographic filter, administrators can configure the filters to recommend only open jobs that match the user's country/region or location.
- For the job level filter, administrators can upload filter rules in a CSV file to match the user's pay grade with a custom job level field.
This enhancement gives administrators greater control over open job recommendations. It also provides users with more relevant recommendations.
What's Changed
How It Looks NowIn the current version, the new Recommendation Filters button allows administrators to configure pay grade and geographic filters for open jobs.
How It Looked BeforeIn the previous version, open job recommendations could only be controlled by pay grade.

Inviting Users to Apply for Assignments
Assignment owners and co-owners can now add users as candidates and invite them to apply for assignments.
The newly added Candidates tab appears on the assignment details page. The assignment owner or co-owner can search for users, add them as candidates, and invite them to apply for the assignment in the Candidates tab.
The assignment owner or co-owner can select a candidate's name in the candidate list to view the candidate's matching details.
Users who are invited by assignment owners or co-owners receive email notifications of the invitation. If the latest home page is enabled, an invitation card is featured at the top of the latest home page for invited users. Assignments with invitation information are displayed as top recommendations for the invited users in the Broaden Your Experience section on the Opportunity Marketplace landing page and the Opportunities to Grow section in Growth Portfolio.
Administrators can create Stories on assignment invitations and purge invitation data using DRTM Opportunity Marketplace Assignments Purge.
This enhancement helps assignment owners and co-owners actively source and engage qualified candidates.
Configuration Requirements
You need to enable the latest home page to view the invitation card.

Opportunity Recommendations as Featured Cards on the Latest Home Page
New cards for learning, open job, and assignment recommendations from Opportunity Marketplace are now featured at the top of the latest home page.
New recommendations appear as cards on the latest home page based on the following rules:
- If intelligent opportunity recommendation is enabled, these cards appear when there are new recommendations for learning, open jobs, or assignments.
- If intelligent opportunity recommendation is not enabled, these cards appear when there are new recommendations for learning, open jobs, or assignments, and you have not visited Opportunity Marketplace for at least two weeks.
- Only one card for each opportunity type is displayed at a time. The system displays the most recent opportunity of each type.
- Each card remains visible for 30 days unless a newer recommendation replaces it within that period.
When you select a card, the opportunity detail page opens. Administrators can configure the card image in Admin Center→Manage Home Page→Featured Cards→New Recommendations from Opportunity Marketplace. Each recommendation card is specific to a person, rather than to an employment. If you bookmark, mark as uninterested, apply, or change the status of the opportunity, the featured card is removed for all employments associated with that person.
An assignment recommendation card looks as follows:
This enhancement provides users with timely, visual recommendations, improving engagement with learning, open jobs, and assignments directly from the home page.
Configuration Requirements
You need to enable the latest home page and at least one opportunity type in Opportunity Marketplace.

Learning Recommendations Based on Skills and Attributes in Opportunity Marketplace, Growth Portfolio, and Latest Career Worksheet
Learning recommendations based on the user's skills and attributes are now available in the Learn New Skills section in Opportunity Marketplace, and in the Opportunities to Grow sections in Growth Portfolio and the latest Career Worksheet.
Learning items associated with a greater number of user's skills are prioritized. Items with a lower level than the user's current skill level are excluded.
In the Learn New Skills section in Opportunity Marketplace, learning recommendations based on the skills and attributes replace personalized recommendations. Admin and peer recommendations continue to be available and are displayed before the skills-and-attributes recommendations.
In the Opportunities to Grow section on the skill detail page in Growth Portfolio, in addition to the general recommendation logic, only learning recommendations associated with that skill are displayed, and are listed before personalized recommendations based on machine learning technology.
In the Opportunities to Grow section on the role detail page in the Latest Career Worksheet, in addition to the general recommendation logic, learning recommendations are shown only if associated with the skills and attributes required for that role, and the target level of those skills and attributes is higher than the user's current level.
This enhancement benefits employees by providing personalized learning recommendations that align with their skills and growth areas, facilitating continuous learning and development.
What's Changed
In the current version, learning recommendations based only on user's skills and attributes are available.
In the previous version, only learning recommendations based on machine learning technology were available in the Opportunities to Grow sections.

Exclude Lower-Level Roles from Recommendations Using a Custom Field
As an administrator, you can now use a number-type custom field to define role levels, ensuring employees receive recommendations for roles at or above their current level.
In the Career Development Planning Feature Settings admin tool, you can select a number-type custom field to represent the role level. Roles with a lower value than the employee's current role are regarded as lower-level roles and excluded from recommendations. The feature doesn't require pay grade configuration and supports organizations that use custom fields for role hierarchy. The custom field-based role level filtering applies to role recommendations in the following areas:
- Suggested Roles in Legacy Career Worksheet
- Latest Career Worksheet:
- Personalized path roles on the Career Paths tab of the Explore Recommended Roles page in Growth Portfolio
- Top Matches section on the Recommended Roles tab of the Explore Recommended Roles page in Growth Portfolio
- Opportunity Marketplace when Suggested Roles is the role recommendation source:
- Explore Career Options section
- Recommended for You section in the Home tab of the SAP SuccessFactors app in Microsoft Teams
If you use the Career Paths feature, these roles are always included even if their levels are lower: next roles for the current role on the organizational career path, peer roles for the current role, and next roles for those peer roles on the organizational career path.
The recommendation logic of other sources in the latest Career Worksheet remains unchanged. Specifically, the Next Career Move section and Organizational path roles on the Explore Recommended Roles page follow the career paths set by customers, the Trending Roles section recommends roles with open positions, and the Roles of People Like You section uses role recommendations from the Career Explorer feature.
Administrators benefit from greater flexibility in role recommendations, especially if pay grade is not configured, ensuring employees only see relevant advancement opportunities.
Configuration Requirements
- You have enabled the latest Career Worksheet. Note that you've migrated from Job Profile Builder to Talent Intelligence Hub.
- You have created a number-type custom field for the Role entity in Configure Object Definitions.
- You have enabled the Exclude lower-level roles from recommendations based on a custom field setting and selected a custom field in Career Development Planning Feature Settings.
Role-Based Permission Prerequisites
You have the Administrator Permissions→Manage Career Development→Career Development Planning Feature Settings permission.
What's Changed
How it Looks NowIn the current version, you can use a number-type custom field for the role level and filter out lower-level roles from recommendations.
How it Looked BeforeIn the previous version, role recommendations could only be filtered by pay grade, and there was no option to use a custom field for role level filtering.

Configure Goal Statuses That Do Not Generate Home Page Cards
In Admin Center→Manage Templates, a new configuration setting named Do Not Generate Cards on Home Page has been introduced for Goal Management.
With this setting, you can choose which goal state values will not generate cards on the home page. To apply the changes, you must save the template and choose the Refresh button. This makes the setting effective and updates existing goals with those statuses so they no longer appear on the home page.
To prevent configuration conflicts, the same state value cannot be selected for both Do Not Generate Cards on Home Page and Trigger Completion. If they overlap, you will be prompted to adjust the selections before saving.
Previously, it wasn't possible to exclude specific statuses from generating cards, meaning statuses like Cancelled or Postponed could still generate cards and distract users.
This feature is based on customer idea 327626 and customer idea 286635. It gives you greater flexibility to control the visibility of goal cards on the home page and helps users focus on what's relevant.
Configuration Requirements
Apart from the configuration setting in Manage Templates, you can also set no-generate-card="true" to one or more state values in the goal plan template to complete the configuration.

Admin Switches for Disabling AI-Assisted Goal Creation Options
As an administrator, you can now control the visibility of the Create from Roles and Create from Interests options during AI-assisted development goal creation.
Two new switches, Disable the Create from Roles option and Disable the Create from Interests option, are now available in the Career Development Planning Feature Settings admin tool. By default, both switches are off. This allows users with the appropriate permissions to select a current or target role to let AI create a career-specific goal, or select skills or attributes marked as passionate to let AI create a goal based on interests. When you turn a switch on, the corresponding option is hidden from users.
These switches help administrators and compliance owners better meet regulatory and governance requirements by controlling the rollout and visibility of AI features, reducing user confusion and support requests.

Automatic Archiving of Completed Development Goals
As an administrator, you can now configure completed development goals to be automatically moved to a specified category, streamlining goal management for users.
You specify which goal status is considered completed and select the target completed goals category in the development goal plan template. If the completed status is not explicitly configured, the system uses the last value in the status list. When users update a development goal's status to completed from the home page, goal plan page, goal details page, or attribute details page, the system automatically moves the goal to the specified completed category. Goals updated to completed by import remain in their original category unless the correct target category is also set in the import file.
This enhancement is based on customer idea 220264. Administrators and users benefit from reduced manual effort and fewer errors, as completed goals are automatically organized, improving efficiency and user experience.
Configuration Requirements
- You have enabled the latest Goal Management.
- You have specified the completed status using Trigger Completion in the status field configuration in Manage Templates. If no completed status is configured, the system uses the last status value.
- You have specified the target completed category using Completed Goals Category in the status field configuration in Manage Templates.
What's Changed
How it Looks NowIn the current version, when a user marks a development goal as completed, the system automatically moves the goal to the specified completed category.
How it Looked BeforeIn the previous version, users had to manually categorize each completed goal.
