Onboarding allows an HR department to set up a standardized set of meetings that each new hire must attend. In many organizations, these are referred to as New Hire Orientation meetings. Unlike tasks in an onboarding program, central orientation meetings are configured separately using Maintain Onboarding Central Orientation Meetings in Admin Center. Setting up a central orientation meeting involves two steps:
- Create the meeting — Define the meeting subject, start and end date and time, and the meeting location or virtual meeting URL.
- Define a business rule — Use the Assign Central Orientation Meetings scenario to control which new hires are assigned to the meeting, based on criteria such as company, location, or job classification.
Meeting details are displayed on the new hire's Onboarding Guide page up until their start date. After the start date, managers and administrators can still view historical meeting records from the same tool.
