Identifying New Hire Permissions

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to identify the preconfigured permissions and assign more permissions for new hires.

Assign Permissions to the Onboarding External User Role

Because new hires are considered external users until the start date of their employment, you can control the level of access they have to the system through role-based permissions.

The OnboardingExternalUser permission role is predefined with permissions for the new hire. You may need to add more permissions for HRIS fields used in the Review New Hire Data and Personal Data Collection steps, depending on what the organization would like to collect.

For any new Custom MDF Objects created for the Additional Data Collection step of the Onboarding processes, additional object permissions will need to be added to this permission role.

Steps

  1. In Role-Based Permissions, you will see a list of permissions already assigned to the OnboardingExternalUser role. Select Edit in order to modify or add permissions.

Result

You have reviewed permissions assigned to the OnboardingExternalUser role. You have the ability to modify these permissions by selecting Permissions.
