Reviewing the Decisions Checklist for Continuous Performance Management

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to review the decisions to be made about Continuous Performance Management before implementation.

Decisions Checklist

Based on the content in this section, please review the list of implementation decisions your company may need to make before implementation begins and discuss them with your stakeholders, project team, and SAP SuccessFactors implementation consultants. In this way, you will be better prepared to begin the implementation.

  • Do you want to use Continuous Performance Management (CPM) to encourage regular conversations between managers and employees?
  • What are the activity status labels and associated colors? What is the order of the activity statuses?
  • Will you enable Discussion Topics?
  • Which of the CPM email notification templates will be used?
  • What types of feedback will you use?
  • Will you enable support for multiple roles beyond employee and manager?
  • Should administrators be able to delete continuous feedback on behalf of other users?
  • Will the channels in Continuous Performance Management be between employee and manager only? Will you require channels between the matrix manager and matrix reports? Any other channels beyond these hierarchies?
  • Will you use AI-assisted capabilities in CPM?

Summary

There are some important configuration decisions that must be made, including whether you will use CPM, the types of feedback that will be used, whether Discussion Topics will be enabled, the use of AI-assisted capabilities in CPM, and the ability of administrators to delete feedback.
