SAP SuccessFactors Continuous Performance Management (CPM) helps employees and managers have meaningful and structured discussions throughout the performance cycle. CPM connects those discussions to the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, allowing employees to capture activities and achievements in real-time.
CPM Terminology

| Activities | Activities records the efforts of employees and provides visibility into the activities employees are working on throughout the year. Activities can be prioritized and linked to performance or development goals. Employees can request feedback on activities. |
| Achievements | Achievements records the accomplishments of employees throughout the year. Achievements are dated and are generally triggered when an activity is completed. |
| Discussion Topics | Discussion Topics cover other agenda items that an employee or manager would like to discuss or track throughout the year that are not directly related to activities or achievements. |
| Meetings | Employees and managers can take a snapshot of current activities and topics during 1:1 meetings that occur throughout the year. Snapshots are visible in the Activities view, sorted by date of meeting. All information captured in meeting snapshots is saved in a read-only format and cannot be deleted. |
