Creating Landing Pages

Learn about creating landing pages by watching this video.

Best Run would like to attract students who are studying engineering at the local university, either for junior positions opening soon, or for an internship program with the intent to develop talent for the future. They will host a career fair for these students, and will ask them to complete a form with some basic information. (We will add the data capture form to the landing page later.)

1. Navigate to CSB→Pages→Landing Pages→English→Default Brand.

2. Choose +Add and enter the following values:

   • Name: Engineering Students
   • Locale: English
   • Brand: Default Brand

3. Save.

4. On the Details page, for Is Active, select YES.

5. For Show two columns, select YES. We will configure the first column now, and later add a data capture form to the second column.

6. Using the slider, make the columns equal widths: 50% and 50%.

7. Choose the Column 1 link.

8. Add a Text component and Large Image component.

9. Choose the Text component and for Header Text enter Welcome Engineering Students!

10. Choose the T icon to the left of the field and change the font size to 32 and select the Best Run Blue color.

11. Enter the following Body Text: We are excited that you are investigating Engineering Careers at Best Run! Not graduating this year? No problem! We have internship programs in Engineering too.

12. Choose the T icon above Body Text and change the Size to 18. Choose Close.

13. On the Styles tab, for Enable Spacing, select YES.

14. Save Draft.

15. Open the Large Image component and upload the image file, college_grads.jpg. Add Alt Text.

16. Change Image Position to Middle Right and Max. Height of Image to 350.

17. Select Publish and preview.

    Metadata does not apply to landing pages. We don't need to duplicate this page because it's only for the Best Run brand.

We created a landing page for college students who are studying Engineering at a local university. Too add a data capture form to a landing page in order to gather information from the University Career Fair, do the following:

1. Within CSB, navigate to Pages→Landing.

2. Edit the desired landing page.

3. Select the column where you want the form, choose Add Component, and select Data Capture Form.

4. Open the component and, from the Data Capture Form field on the Details page, select the desired form.

5. Enter the Data Capture Form Code*, Header and Instructions, and make any other changes required.

6. Save Draft.

7. Select the Data Privacy Consent Statement page and select a Link Font color.

8. Publish and preview.

   
   Data Capture Form Field Setup

   The Data Capture Form Code is used to search for all candidates who have completed the data capture form. There is a limit of 40 characters.

   Candidate messages can be summarized as follows:

   • The Success Message is displayed after a candidate successfully submits the form.
   • The Completed Message is displayed to candidates who have previously completed all fields on the form, indicating that there are no new fields for them to complete.
   • The Existing User Message is displayed to existing candidates. Your customer will likely want to change this message, as the default text states that their profile has been updated, but this is only true if the existing candidate completed this form after receiving a link from an email campaign.

     • Example text: Thank you for submitting your information. If you have previously submitted this form, a recruiter will be in touch with you.

   

Before posting a link to a landing page online, or disseminating it in other ways, a tracking link needs to be added so that the campaign results are reportable in Advanced Analytics.

To add a tracking link to the landing page, proceed as follows:

1. Navigate to Recruiting→Source Tracker→Campaign URL Builder, and enter the URL for the landing page.

2. Select the location where the link to the page will be posted and add a Campaign Name. If desired, generate a Short URL.

3. Post the resulting link.

This video demonstrates how to add data capture forms to a landing page.

Earlier, you created a landing page for college students studying engineering at a local university. Now, add the data capture form that you created.

1. Within CSB, navigate to Pages→Landing Pages.

2. Select to edit (pencil icon) for the Engineering Students landing page.

3. On the Column 2 page, choose Add Component, and select Data Capture Form.

4. Move cursor onto this and select it to open the new component.

5. On the Details page, select Engineering Career Fair from the Data Capture Form field.

6. For Data Capture Form Code, enter Engineering Students.

7. For Data Capture Form Header, enter Please provide some basic information.

8. Choose the T icon and change the size to 24 and the color to Best Run Blue.

9. Close.

10. For Data Capture Form Instructions, enter The data you provide will only be used to contact you about present or future opportunities. Your information will not be shared with any third parties. Note that if you have already applied for a position, information submitted on this form will not be saved to your profile.

11. For Existing User Message, enter Thank you for submitting your information. If you have previously submitted this form, a recruiter will be in touch with you.

12. Save and close.

13. Close.

14. Select the Styles page. No changes are required.

15. Select the DPCS (Data Privacy Consent Statement) page. Change the Link Font color to Best Run Blue.

16. Publish and preview.

17. Review your landing page and data capture form.

You can choose to set up a specific job alert for candidates who complete the form. If a job alert is not set up, no alerts will be sent to those who complete the form.

To associate a job alert to be sent to candidates who complete the data capture form, proceed as follows:

1. Within CSB, navigate to the landing page containing the data capture form.

2. Edit the page and choose the Data Capture Form component.

3. Select the Job Alerts tab.

4. Select Add Filter.

5. For Field Name, select Division.

6. For Values, select Engineering.

7. Select Done.

   

In this video, you will see how to associate a job alert that will be sent to candidates who complete a data capture form.

Set up a job alert for candidates who complete the form. A job alert will be sent once per week when new positions are posted to the Engineering department.

1. Within CSB, navigate to the landing page containing the data capture form.

2. Edit the page from the Column 2 tab and choose the Data Capture Form component.

3. Choose the Job Alerts tab.

4. Choose the Add Filter button.

5. For Field Name, select Division.

6. For Values, select Engineering.

7. Choose Done.

8. Publish.
