Creating the Content Pages Template

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create the content pages template.

Content Pages

A standard Recruiting statement of work includes up to 14 total content and/or category pages.

  • No jobs are included on content pages; they contain information about the company culture, benefits, diversity, university programs, and so on.

  • Content pages are sometimes hosted by the customer, rather than created in CSB. In that case, add a header link to open the external page in a new tab.

  • To add a content page, click the gear icon. From here, you can add a new page or duplicate an existing page. Other options are to delete a page or add meta tags for the page (title, keywords, description).

On the Content Pages page, click the gear icon and then select the Add Page button to add a content page.

Create Content Pages

This video demonstrates how to create content pages.

Business Example

To get practice creating content pages, you add a new link in the header: Why Work Here. You create two content pages that are accessed from that link: Company and Benefits.

Task 1: Add Content Pages to the Default Brand

Steps

  1. Navigate to PagesContentEnglishDefault Brand.

  2. Select +Add, enter Company, and click Add.

  3. Add two components: Text and Large Image.

  4. For the Text component, enter Best Run is a great place to work! for the Header Text on the Details page. Click the T icon to the right of the Header Text field and change the font size to 32 and the color to Best Run Blue.

  5. On the Styles tab, for Enable Spacing, select YES.

  6. Publish.

  7. For the Large Image component, on the Styles tab, upload the image business_people.jpg and add Alt Text, 4 people meeting. Leave the Image Position at Middle Middle. Change the Max Height of Image to 370px. Enable Spacing.

  8. Add metadata for the Company page by clicking the gear icon at the top left and selecting Tags.

    • Page & Meta Title: Company
    • Meta Keywords: Company Information
    • Meta Description: About Best Run
  9. Click Confirm.

  10. Publish and preview.

  11. Add a page by clicking the gear icon, naming the page, Benefits, and clicking Add. Add the same components: Text and Large Image.

  12. For the Text component, enter Best Run has the best benefits in the business! for the Header Text. Click the T icon to the right of the Header Text field and change the font size to 32 and the color to Best Run Blue. Enable Spacing on the Styles tab.

  13. For the Large Image component, upload the image woman_on_laptop.jpg and add Alt Text. Leave the Image Type at Unmodified. Change the Image Position to Top Right. Change the Max. Height of Image to 360. Enable Spacing.

  14. Add metadata for the Benefits page by clicking the gear icon at the top left and selecting Tags.

    • Page & Meta Title: Benefits
    • Meta Keywords: Benefits Information
    • Meta Description: Best Run Benefits
  15. Click Confirm.

  16. Publish and preview.

Task 2: Duplicate the Default Brand Content Pages to Create the Red Brand Content Pages

Once you have finished configuring the content page for the Default Brand, you are ready to duplicate it for the Red brand.

Steps

  1. Navigate to PagesContenten_USDefault BrandCompany.

  2. Click the gear icon, select Duplicate Page, and enter the following values:

    • Title: Company

    • Locale: (en_US) English (United States)

    • Brand: Red

  3. Save your changes.

  4. Duplicate the Benefits page in the same way.

  5. Navigate to the new pages under the Red brand, and on the Text component, replace "Best Run" with "The Red brand". Publish.

Summary

  • Content pages are created to provide candidates with company information (culture, benefits, diversity, programs). If content pages are hosted externally, add a header link that opens the page in a new tab.
  • Creating content pages in CSB allows administrators to easily add/duplicate/delete pages, apply brand-specific design elements easily and set meta tags (title, keywords, description) via the gear icon.
