Bringing it all together: Persona

We do not have time in this class to talk about processing user interview in detail, so here is a quick example. After our user research, we noted down key findings on sticky notes, using one color per person interviewed. Then we grouped our findings into main categories, such as characteristics, or tasks involving water usage. We looked for common data points within each categories, for example all our interviewees live in a California, and are tight on budget. This information then helps us build a persona that reflects the common characteristics and needs across similar users - since we cannot design individual solutions.

Next, we started creating a persona, Mr. Water.
