Calibration Concepts

Calibration is a step within the performance review process. There are some adjustments you might need to make to the performance review template and the route map before you launch the review process. To make these adjustments, it is important to have an understanding of the basic calibration concepts.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Calibration tool uses different roles to determine responsibilities in the overall process.

Calibration Template

A calibration template defines the dates, roles, and forms for a calibration session. The same calibration template can be applied to multiple sessions. Customers can choose to have just one calibration template for the entire process, or they can choose to create multiple calibration templates.

Calibration Session

A calibration session is created based on a Calibration template. It defines the applicable timeline, as well as the owners, participants, and subjects of the session. SAP SuccessFactors supports multiple active sessions.

Clients can also edit sessions they have already created. If they have already activated the session, however, they need to deactivate it to make the changes. After the changes have been made, the client can then reactivate the session.

Note
It is possible to export sessions with more than 1,000 subjects.

In this tool the administrator

  • Enables Global Calibration Settings.
  • Defines Permission for the Calibration Roles.
  • Defines filter fields for the Calibration Sessions.

Manage Calibration Templates
