Business Scenario
You want to get started with the SAP BTP, Kyma runtime. For this, you need to deploy a Kubernetes cluster with Kyma. You want to do this on your SAP BTP subaccount.
Exercise Options
You can perform this exercise in two ways:
- Platform Simulation – follow the step-by-step instructions within the simulation.
- Live Environment - by using the instructions provided below, you can perform the steps in the SAP BTP Free Tier account.
We strongly recommend that you perform the steps in the Live Environment first.
Platform Simulation
Choose the Start Exercise button below to open a simulation of the platform. Then follow the step-by-step instructions to deploy a Kubernetes Cluster with Kyma on SAP BTP.
Live Environment
In this exercise, you will perform the following steps:
- Enable the SAP BTP, Kyma runtime on your SAP BTP subaccount.
- Verify that the SAP BTP, Kyma runtime is enabled.
Prerequisites
You have a SAP BTP subaccount with a SAP BTP, Kyma runtime entitlement (Free Tier or Paid), or a local Kubernetes/k3d cluster where Kyma is installed.
If you don't have a SAP BTP subaccount, you can use the SAP BTP Free Tier account. You can find the instructions on how to create a Free Tier account here. You can skip the part of the Cloud Foundry environment creation.
If you don't have access to a SAP BTP subaccount, then you could also setup Kyma locally on your machine with k3d. For this, please follow the steps here.
