Watch this video to learn how to call a Procedure from DB Explorer.

Call Procedure from DB Explorer

You can call a Procedure from Database Explorer, by following the below steps:

  1. Open the SAP HANA Database Explorer directly from Business Application Studio. This will take you to the container directly.
  2. Navigate to the Procedures section within your container.
  3. Select the Search field and type in your Stored Procedure name or parts of it. Select your procedure.
  4. Right click on its name and select Generate Call Statement so that you can interactively fill in your input parameters and call it.
  5. Execute the Procedure. If there are input parameters defined for your Stored Procedure you can pass it in the call by position or by name. Recommended is to call the procedure with input parameters by name so the order of passing input parameters can be changed without effects on the result set. Additionally debugging might be easier on the long run because you directly see in the code which value is to be passed to which input parameter.
  6. Check the Results.
