Distribution Lists

Distribution Lists are used to ensure job postings are properly routed to applicable suppliers for a given contingent labor position. A distribution list can contain a single supplier or multiple suppliers grouped by level of distribution, based on contractual agreements between a buyer and their supplier base.

Appropriate distribution lists must be created before an associated job posting template can be created.

Create a Distribution List

Before starting the job posting template for the quality control inspector position, you had to create a distribution list for all suppliers that provide workers for manufacturing positions.

Here’s how you, the administrator for WorkingNet, created the manufacturing distribution list in SAP.

Configuring a Distribution List in the Job Posting Template

Now that the appropriate distribution list is created, you’ll configure the distribution list for the Quality Control Inspector job posting template based on agreements that WorkingNet has in place with contingent labor suppliers.

  1. Initially, the first thing you must choose is a distribution rule. WorkingNet has distribution lists set up that should be followed without exception, so you leave the rule set as Automatically distributed to Suppliers specified in the Template after final approval.
  2. Next, you must select an appropriate distribution list. Selecting the Distribution List field will display a dropdown menu.
  3. For the quality control inspector position, you’ll select Manufacturing.

Supplier Tier Rules

If multiple levels have been defined for a distribution list, rules must be specified between each level.
