After completing this lesson, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the SOW approval process.
  • Configure an Approval Group for a Statement of Work.

Approval Groups

Throughout the lifecycle of SOW Creation and SOW Management, there are a variety of times where an organization may want, or need, to configure Approval Groups. Examples include SOW Creation or Response, SOW Revisions, the addition of Fees or other characteristics, or when an SOW Worker is added.

Configuring Approval Groups for SOWs and SOW Workers are different than configuring them for Contingent workers. Thus, the groups will need to be re-created to be used for Services transactions.

Configure Approvals for an SOW

WorkingNet wants to streamline the approval process for new SOWs created in SAP Fieldglass. This means they are looking to create Approval Groups that require approval from only the necessary individuals they have identified. They have provided you with the requirements, so you will now build out their logic as an Approval Group admin object in the application.

Other SOW Approval Groups

Creating Approval Groups for any SOW attribute follows a similar process. Differences occur based on the module selected and the manner in which the attribute must be configured.
