Manage reports with Report Center
Report Center
Report Center centralizes all the reporting components from the different analytical tools in SAP SuccessFactors. This allows administrators and users to edit and run reports from a central location. It is designed on the SAP Fiori interface principles.
Assigning Administration Permissions to Manage Report Center
You can allow administrators to manage certain aspects of the Report Center. You can assign permission to administer Report Center tool in the Admin Center:
In the Action Search field, enter Manage Role Permissions.
Select the appropriate role.
ChoosePermission...
Go to Administrator Permissions → Manage Dashboard → Reports.
Enable the following:
Manage Report Center- access the Manage Report Center tool.
Share Reports to Groups & Roles - share reports with groups and roles, not just individual users.
View All Schedules - view schedules owned by any user.
Schedule Reports to FTP Destination - schedule a report to be delivered via FTP, not just offline scheduling.
Sync Report Center Search Tool
The syncing of reports of different types with Report Center Search should be automatic. However, if search does not return the expected results, an administrator can manually synchronize report information into the search repository using the Sync Report Center Search tool.
This tool is available in Admin Center → Sync Report Center Search.
Note
Syncing can take some time. You can check the status of the sync jobs in the Scheduled Job Manager tool.
Assigning user access to Report Center
You need to assign access to all users who will use Report Center. Any users who create or view reports online need access to Report Center.
Once you have determined the appropriate employees that need access to Report Center, assign the appropriate RBP permission to the Role(s):
Go to Admin Center → Manage Role Permissions.
Select the appropriate role.
Choose Permission....
Under User Permissions, go to Reports Permission.
Enable the appropriate permissions:
i. Report Center: enable access to the Report Center page.
ii. Schedule Reports: enable a user to create and manage schedules on their reports.
Assigning additional user permissions
Once you have assigned access to Report Center, additional permissions are required to access the different report types. You can permission a user with different levels of access for different reporting solutions. For example, you can allow a user to create canvas reports without the ability to create a table report, story report, or a dashboard.
Table Report and Reporting Domain Permissions
Use can assign users the ability to create table reports with the Create Report permission.
You can limit those users’ ability to create table reports to certain SAP SuccessFactors modules. When enabling the permission, you can assign access to ALL or limited Reporting Domains. SAP SuccessFactors modules usually have one or more Reporting Domains.
You can assign users the ability to run table reports with the Run Report permission. This permission can also be limited by Reporting Domains.
To assign a user the ability to create and/or run reports on all or specific Reporting Domains:
Use the Action Search to navigate to Manage Permission Roles.
Select the Permission Role.

Story Report and Schema Permissions

To enable a user to create story reports:
Navigate to Manage Permission Roles.

After you enable Create Story and select schemas, you may have to also enable access to the data of the schema. Each schema may have specific permissions to control access to the data.
Understanding user permissions to Report Types in Report Center
Report Center respects RBP permissions for the individual reporting tools.
Report Center has the following report type specific requirements for users to run (visible), edit, or share reports:
Canvas Reports: Canvas Reports are visible to users in Report Center based on the sharing status of a report. Users must be the Report Owner or have the Canvas Designer Admin permission to edit or share the report.
Tiles and Dashboards: Tiles and Standard Dashboards are visible to users in Report Center based on their permission to the tile/standard dashboard. Tile-based dashboards are visible to users in Report Center based on the sharing status of a tile-based dashboard. Users must have Administrator Permissions > Manage Dashboards / Reports > Analytics Tiles and Dashboards permission to edit tiles and dashboards and to share dashboards.
Table Reports: Table Reports are visible to users in Report Center based on the sharing status of a report. Users must be the Report Owner or have the Report Admin - Access All Reports permission to edit or share reports.
Story Reports: Story Reports are visible to users in Report Center based on the sharing status of a report. Users must be the report owner, have the report shared with Edit access, or have the Story Admin permissions to edit a report. Users must be the report owner, have the report shared with Full access, or have the Story Admin permissions to share a report.
