Quality Engineer Overview

Description

The Quality Engineer Overview shows in a single page the most important information and tasks related to inspection management that are relevant for you right now. The information is displayed on set of cards. This allows you to focus on the most important tasks, and view, filter, and react to information quickly. The cards show you the most important information ranked according to relevance. For example, on the Inspection Lots Without Usage Decision card, you can see the number of inspection lots without usage decision in the header followed by a donut chart that shows the percentage distribution of inspection lots based on their results recording status. You can then decide to make usage decisions for all inspection lots without a usage decision or for those inspection lots with a particular result recording status.

Key Features

  • You can customize the overview page by rearranging cards and by hiding or showing them. You can drag and drop cards to rearrange them.
  • To hide a card, proceed as follows:
    1. In the header bar, choose the User icon and select Manage Cards. Use the switch control to hide or show the relevant card. Choose OK.
    2. To reset the view to the default settings, choose Restore in the Manage Cards window.
  • You can also apply a filter to the displayed information, which will affect all relevant cards. For example, you can filter the content of all cards per plant or inspection lot origin.
  • SAP delivers a filter variant that can be used immediately. It contains some predefined values for the filter bar. You can make your own variant by choosing the Select Variant drop-down arrow, and you can also customize the filter by choosing Adapt Filter.

Key Features

  • You can only display the results history for quantitative characteristics.
  • In the list, you can use the settings to specify the grouping characteristics according to which the inspection lot results are summarized. The grouping characteristics are indicated by the suffix (Characteristic) or (Char).
  • The individually selected inspection lot results are summarized as one aggregated object according to whether they match the grouping characteristics.
    • If, for example, you select only the material and the master inspection characteristic as grouping characteristics, all inspection lot results for a master inspection characteristic and material are aggregated in one row of the list.
    • If you select the material, supplier, and master inspection characteristic as the grouping characteristic, all inspection lot results for a material-supplier combination and master inspection characteristic are aggregated in one row of the list.
  • The key figures for the selected inspection lot results are calculated at the aggregation level.
  • The results of a row in the list are displayed as a graphic:
    • The run-chart of the sample mean values with tolerance limits and upper and lower limits
    • The run-chart for single values
  • In the app, you can make a flexible selection from all selected inspection lot results. The graphic is adapted accordingly.
