Create Change Master (CC01) SAP GUI App

Description
This app enables you to create a Change Master that will be used to exchange a material on your original Bill of Material with a different material. For example, in the event a supplier cannot deliver the material you need or your quality assessment upon receiving the material from the supplier identifies a defect. In this case, you need to keep producing your product, but must swap the product on the original BOM with a different material to keep the production line running and to meet your deadlines. In this app, you can view a list of change masters that you are authorized to see. Using advanced filtering options, you can also search for change masters, display their details, and save your search filters in a variant.
Key Features
- Display the list of change masters that you are authorized to access.
- Search for change masters, as well as within their attributes.
- Get a detailed overview of the selected change master.
- Use advanced filtering options.
- Save your filters as variants.
- Sort and group the displayed lines, and personalize columns.
- Create new change masters.
Important Fields and Functions
- Change Number
Change numbers are used to uniquely identify a change master record.
- Functions
- Without Release Key
- Determines that the changes with reference to the change master record are automatically released for the operative areas (costing, planning, production).
- Choose this function if the changes with reference to this change master record are to be taken into account in all operative areas and without a release procedure.
- After you have saved the changes with reference to the change master record, the changes are taken into account in all productive areas.
- With Release Key
Determines that the changes made with reference to the change master are released by a ( release key) for the operative areas (costing, planning, production). For example, you can determine that BOM changes with reference to the change master record N-1 are only released for costing and not for planning or production with the release key.
- Lead. Chg. Mast.
- Superior change master record in a change hierarchy. It groups together several change packages for the change process.
- You can maintain important control functions that are relevant to all the allocated change packages in a leading change master record. For example:
- You can define when the change becomes effective (for example, on the valid from date)
- Release key
- Change Package
- Subordinate change master record in a change hierarchy that controls the changes to the individual objects.
- The change package determines which change objects are to be processed, and how they are to be processed.
- The following dependencies apply:
- You must allocate the change package to a leading change master record.
- You can include a change request in a change hierarchy by using the change package function.
- Without Release Key
- Control
Profile
- Contains default values and presettings for the creation of a change master record
- The information contained in a profile is standard information that is always required in a similar way when you are maintaining change master records. The profile helps you when entering and managing change data.
- For example, you can document the following fields and presettings using the profile:
- Description
- Change number status
- Status profile
- The following dependencies apply:
- You maintain the presettings in the Maintain Profile area.
- If you create a change master record with reference to a template, the template data has a higher priority than the settings in the chosen profile.
- Template
Change Number
The number of an existing change master, the data (for example, header data object types) of which is transferred to the change master being created as default values
Maintain Bill of Material (F1813) SAP Fiori App

Description
With this app, you can display and manage all of your bills of material (BOMs). Using the available filters, you can find and view existing BOMs, drill down to the level of detail you need, and perform any necessary actions (such as copy or delete BOMs or assign change records to BOMs). You can create new BOMs (whether classical, version-based, or alternative BOMs) and insert the relevant components along with the required data, including any attachments.
Key Features
- Create and search for a BOM, a versioned BOM, and an alternative BOM efficiently by making entries in the key fields. You can also customize the search criteria for the advanced search.
Note
You can create a BOM with BOM Usage only as Engineering/Design(2). - Create BOMs and alternative BOMs and delete BOMs.
- Copy a material BOM to a new material BOM.
- Hand over the engineering bills of material (EBOM) to the manufacturing bills of material (MBOM).
- Create BOMs for configurable materials and maintain object dependencies using the classic application.
- Take tentative decisions while working on a BOM and save your changes as a draft.
- Navigate to change instances using the change timeline.
- Assign BOMs to a change record.
- Create a change number and assign it to a material.
- Use the Attachment Service to attach documents or files to a material.
- Use the Model Object Assignments reusable user interface component to assign requirements to PLM objects and manage them using the SAP Enterprise Architecture Designer, Cloud edition.
- Create a BOM with validity changes for objects based on the parameter effectivity types.
- Define software and its versions in a bill of material.
- Perform a compatibility check for software and hardware.
- Hand over bill of material components (spare parts and software information) to the SAP Asset Intelligence Network.
- Calculate BOMs using international system of units.
- Use a range of functions on the Components tab when adding BOM items.
- Delete a BOM header with a validity date using a date-effectivity change number.
- Maintain long text for BOM item and BOM header for alternative BOM.
- Assign plant to an already existing BOM or create a new BOM with the plant.
Important Fields & Functions
- BOM Usage
The standard SAP system allows you to maintain individual BOMs for any area of your company. These BOMs are maintained independently of each other and are assigned different internal BOM numbers. In this way, each area is only dealing with the specific data it requires. For example, manufacturing, sales, or engineering.
- Alternative BOM
Allows you to choose one of the multiple BOMs created as an alternative BOM. If you have more than one BOM created for the same material and usage, each BOM is known as an alternative BOM.
- Handover to Manufacturing
Allows you to hand over EBOMs to manufacturing from the Maintain Bill of Material app.
- Copy BOM
You can copy a material BOM to a new material BOM (version or date-dependent), with the option to copy components, which helps in managing the BOM efficiently.
- Assign Plant
You can assign plants to the existing plant-specific BOMs or group BOMs. When you enter a plant, the system validates whether the material exists for the plant. If the material does exist for the plant, a new BOM is created with the same internal BOM number, but with the assigned plant.
App Extensibility
Key users (administrators) can extend the Maintain Bill of Material app in the Custom Fields and Logic app using the following business contexts:
- Master Data: Bill of Material Header
- Master Data: Bill of Material Items
Note
You can also enable custom fields to be available for reports and UIs of apps that share the same business context in the UIs and Reports section of the Custom Fields and Logic app when creating a new custom field.
- Key users can add fields to the following UI elements using UI adaptation at runtime or with the Custom Fields and Logic app:
- Bill of Material maintenance > Header Attributes
Business context: Master Data: Bill of Material Header

Change Change Master (CC02) SAP GUI App

Description
This app enables you to make edits to the Change Master created to exchange a material from the original Bill of Material to a different material.
Key Features
- Search for existing Change Masters
- Make edits to a Change Master
Important Fields and Functions
Change Numbers are used to uniquely identify a change master record. There are two ways of assigning this number:
- External - You determine the number when creating the Change Master. If you want a number in numeric format, it must fall within the defined number range.
- Internal - The system assigns a number. In this case, you do not make an entry. When you save the Change Master, you will see a message that tells you which number the system assigned.
Create Production Order (CO01) SAP GUI App

Description
This app enables you to create a production order.
Important Fields and Functions
- Material
Number of the material that is to be produced with this order.
- Production Plant
- Key uniquely identifying a plant.
- For production orders, this plant is the production plant in which the material is to be produced.
- Planning Plant
- Plant in which the goods receipt takes place for the material produced after the order execution. For example, the planning plant can be used if Sales and Distribution is to be organized as an independent plant.
- For example, the planning plant can be used if Sales and Distribution is to be organized as an independent plant.
- If the planning plant and production plant are identical, then you do not need to enter the planning plant in addition to the production plant field. The production plant is automatically copied to the planning plant field.
- Order Type
- Key used to distinguish between orders in terms of their usage.
- The order type relates to the production orders that are created.
- Parameters that affect order execution are defined via the order type. You can define, among other information:
- Which number range
- Criteria by which a routing is to be selected
- How the order costs are to be calculated
- Order
- Key number that uniquely identifies an order within a client.
- You can only make an entry in this field if the order type uses external number assignment.
- Copy from - Order
Reference order number key where the system copies the field contents from this key when creating a new order.
